 | News Comment | Wrexham Closing in On Broadhead Signing at 10:45:22
Massive, massive fan of Broady, this is a sad day indeed to see him go. I would offer up that there were always games in his locker where he struggled to impose himself, i felt he struggled to link effectively with Leif on the overlap as well. Still felt like he was developing under McKenna and he featured in so many rememberable moments of our progression. Also hoped he would have had more chances in the Prem with us last season. Like some have mentioned, McKenna seemed to not favour him and having spent a small fortune in those attacking positions, we are overweight and need to trim. Good luck Broady, just not against us ;-) |

ArnieM - he said he was offered three times the amount of the town offer, plus we were in league one and Huddersfield with Championship. So it wasn’t a great offer from town. I dare say we weren’t offering him a starting position either given that we were aiming to get out of league one as quickly as possible, which wouldn’t align with developing players. He was 20 years old at the time, a kid practically. He did what he thought was right and hindsight is an awful thing. |

I think this says more about the fans who decided to slate him. It’s his career, he needs to do what’s best for him. I remember when this happened and clearly we weren’t a competitive offer. No one should blame the lad. |
 | News Comment | Morsy Not On Pre-Season Trip as Town Exit to Kuwait Nears at 11:55:56
I thought he'd end up finishing his career with us and becoming a coach, didn't see a scenario where he'd leave. In a lot of ways, i'm pleased McKenna has put the club first and not got sentimental, lots of clubs do and it often doesn't work out. He sets the standard for his leadership in football terms, whilst O'Shea will captain differently, Morsy sets a high bar to meet. I don't expect many to agree with my next point but I know some will - it did dampen my enthusiasm for him when he didn't wear the rainbow armband. I also felt the club did a terrible job of managing it (why not give Chaplin the armband as vice captain and ambassador for the initiative, getting Morsy out of the spotlight?). A bit of mess tbh. |
 | News Comment | Ex-Town Defender Tuanzebe Suing Manchester United at 23:18:29
Why do some football fans think players must show/have endless loyalty to clubs? Axel owes us nothing, he had a contract and he saw it to its conclusion, that’s more than most players do. For those knocking him, do you show the kind of blinded loyalty to your employer that you expect of footballers? |

To blame a player for doing the best for themselves in what is a incredibly short career is misguided. Whilst they may get paid well (at the top of the game, not all footballers earn hundreds of thousands), clubs will often push players to play through pain or play with knocks which compromise their future ability to recover or expose them to recurrences of issues. If Axel felt he was poorly advised or not well looked after, I don't blame him for looking into that further. |

Agree with Blue Moolay - no-one set off on this transfer wanting it to fail but it's not worked out. I really didn't like how fans would get on this back (as if this would help him improve...) but it overall seems like a bad fit for everyone. Best of luck to him, if/when he goes. |

Oh bore off, blueboy1981. Your constantly negativity is energy sapping, why are you so hell bent on spouting your dull, unpopular nonsense on such a regular basis?! I don’t think you’ve ever agreed with anything, nothing is good enough for you. So, so tedious. |
 | News Comment | Town to Face Auxerre in Pre-Season at 21:22:06
Personally chuffed. Followed Auxerre as a lad, they had a great team. Mexes and Boumsong pairing at the back, midfield with Tainio Faye Kapo Fadiga and Cisse up top. Fabian Cool in goal and a manager who’d been there for decades. A proper football club. |
 | News Comment | Szmodics: I Refused to Play For Blackburn at 10:27:45
I think people lose sight of the crazy employment situation of players when knocking them for trying to force transfers through. In most lines of employment if there was a better opportunity, with the employer stating that they wanted you, you'd have no problem in making that move. In football, contracts are in place so clubs can retrieve compensation - there's little focus on the player's best interests. They are treated as a short term commodity. So (@dazza) don't get hung up on the actions Sammy took to get his #2 dream move (west ham would be #1), footballer's careers are short and doing the best for himself and his family is all he could do. If he had the opportunity to be paid more, move closer to home and play in the most popular league in the world, or tread water in the Championship, I think it would be crazy for him not to take action to make it happen. |
