 | News Comment | McKenna: Chaplin Deserved the Opportunity to Explore Pompey Loan at 17:09:07
There's contracts and there's doing the right things by people. I've always said in the industry in work in that if we can't solve things by discussion and have to look up the terms of the agreement, we've gone really wrong. McKenna is a great leader of this club, we're incredibly lucky to have him steering this ship. We have a deep squad of first team players and I don't envy his job to try and keep the majority happy with their game time. |

This is fair enough. Also that we've assessed than Sheff U aren't going to be challenging up the top end :D tbf neither are we (yet!)! |
 | News Comment | McKenna Tight-Lipped on McAteer Interest at 15:49:54
Agree Rootshall91 - a very technical gifted and physical player. I always felt we were under pressure when he had the ball, he loves to run at defenders. Wouldn't mind this signing at all, if true. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: We're Disappointed With How Hutchinson Exit's Been Played Out at 15:38:33
As Kieran points out, Omari has been poorly advised. He's a young man with a short career at the top with lots of money being chucked at him. Being told you're an absolute superstar by people supposed to be looking out for you and that the club is holding you back will get into his head. I don't blame Omari, the third parties involved are at fault. I wish him well and it's a sad day to see him and Broady leave the club, despite the ROI. |
 | News Comment | Forest 'Close to Agreeing Hutchinson Fee' at 21:53:37
So called fans… grow up. This is our journey and eventually we’ll become a club that players don’t want to leave to further their career. We’re on a path and we’ll get there. I’m sad to see Omari go because he was a talent, but his path and ours run at different momentum’s. Good luck to him, I’m proud he was with us. |
 | News Comment | Butcher: I'd Have Made Omari Train on His Own at 21:40:18
This is getting silly. Whilst a club legend, an awful manager. Says what makes him popular in this situation. I don’t want Omari to move on, but if we can make good money, that’s the reality of this industy. |
 | News Comment | Town and Birmingham Charged By FA at 16:36:36
Who the heck writes these rules and announcements at the FA?! 'both clubs failed to ensure their players didn’t behave in an improper and/or provocative way'?!?!? You mean both clubs failed to ensure that their players did not engage in improper or provocative behaviour. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Interest in Muric But Nothing to Confirm at 13:45:47
Bluearmy_81 - who says ragging our own players is allowed? Wouldn't it be more constructive to get behind him and encourage him? We all drop clangers at work, doesn't entitle people to shout expletives and get on your back. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: I Can't Be Happier With the Players Who Are Here But There's Still a Lot to Do at 09:45:31
Exceptional interview, as ever, from our Leader. McKenna is one of, if not the most composed managers in football. Very balanced, honest opinions on football, the club and the players. As fans we'd be wise to keep front of mind how lucky we are with this. Whilst McKenna has ideals, he understands the industry and the environment of football so he's able to manage expectations and likely remove irrational or emotional reflexes, which can only benefit the coaching team and the players. He talks of Morsy being a club legend - McKenna is a club icon. Cannot wait for the season to start - bring it on! |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Interest in Muric But Nothing to Confirm at 09:20:10
ITFCSG - not true. In the corporate world, management have a responsibility for the performance of individuals that they've assessed and brought in. So strategies would be put in place to assist the individual and a plan to improve output. If someone has issues doing the role, companies wouldn't just cut them away. This ties into the comments made by @Carberry - the management have to take responsibility here for continuing to put Muric in the firing line when we had a very able alternative in Walton. I don't like critiquing McKenna, he know his job way better than I do, but it felt like they should have switched our Muric much earlier which I think would have stemmed the flow of negativity toward him from the fans (which is deplorable). |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Interest in Muric But Nothing to Confirm at 16:33:49
If we said that the £2million of add ons became active if Ipswich fans keep whining into this season, would it stop all the whinging? It didn't work out, no one set out for it to not work out, let's get over it and move on. |
 | News Comment | Wrexham Closing in On Broadhead Signing at 10:45:22
Massive, massive fan of Broady, this is a sad day indeed to see him go. I would offer up that there were always games in his locker where he struggled to impose himself, i felt he struggled to link effectively with Leif on the overlap as well. Still felt like he was developing under McKenna and he featured in so many rememberable moments of our progression. Also hoped he would have had more chances in the Prem with us last season. Like some have mentioned, McKenna seemed to not favour him and having spent a small fortune in those attacking positions, we are overweight and need to trim. Good luck Broady, just not against us ;-) |
 | News Comment | Simpson: I Made the Wrong Decision to Turn Down Town Deal at 13:17:14
ArnieM - he said he was offered three times the amount of the town offer, plus we were in league one and Huddersfield with Championship. So it wasn’t a great offer from town. I dare say we weren’t offering him a starting position either given that we were aiming to get out of league one as quickly as possible, which wouldn’t align with developing players. He was 20 years old at the time, a kid practically. He did what he thought was right and hindsight is an awful thing. |
 | News Comment | Simpson: I Made the Wrong Decision to Turn Down Town Deal at 11:33:12
I think this says more about the fans who decided to slate him. It’s his career, he needs to do what’s best for him. I remember when this happened and clearly we weren’t a competitive offer. No one should blame the lad. |
