It all comes down to which party wants the transfer. If Chops had out in a transfer request, he wouldn't be entitled to any of the remainder of his contract. The reality is his employer (our club) want rid of him, with a year remaining on his contract. So there's a trade off between him wanting some game time and a new club, and ITFC paying off the appropriate portion of his contract |

This is a true story - I was told by a member of the 1st team squad on Saturday night that a cb is having a medical this morning with a view to signing. He either said that the player was British or from a British club - I was a little drunk at the time! But the 1st bit is 100% right |
