Southampton Ballot

Would I be right in thinking you’d have been informed if you’d been successful in the ballot by now?

I’ve never been successful in applying for ballot tickets so I’m not sure how it would work with being informed.

Aberdeen TownTV match pass
at 18:30 25 Jul 2025

I’ve had no option to add my promo code despite following all the steps.

Now been charged £4.99 which I’ve e-mailed about.

Did anybody else not have anywhere to add the promo code when following the steps?

You literally can't believe that we've gone from fielding Norwood and Jackson in Mckennas start to unleashing Philogene, Omari and Delap.

It shows how far we've come in a few years that we can now put our own version of Barcas MSN and we actually have players who aren't laughing stocks anymore!

It would be criminal if we don't stay up this season if only for the fact we'll lose the chance to activate the clause to take Jens permanently!

Delap: Technically the best centre forward
at 08:03 6 Jan 2025

I think alot of this has to come down to McKenna.

He singled it out when he called him out before that 3-0 game last season and alot of people me included thought well i can't really see him as being as dangerous to warrant being called out.

I went to the 3-3 match and yes he scored but i never saw on that night what he was to become present day with us.

You can only think it's the coaching he's received here that's really pushed him on. You can see the difference even in the last month or so to what he was doing at the start of the season.

His hold up play and laying off etc is improving all the time and he started off really well yesterday before admittedly dropping off with his hold up game. I would've said Hirsts holding up and bringing people into play is the strength he held over Delap and i still think he shades it on that front but, Delaps really improving on that front.

On the ticket page it’s got Forest tickets coming soon and ballot sales commence at 10am.

Does anybody know why it’s listed like that?

Starting to care less and less about the Premier League
at 08:50 16 Oct 2024

I think alot of this will also be effected by how old each fan is as you will know how few and far between these Premier League Campaigns are the older you are and then appreciate this more.
I've sat at Ewood Park watching Jordan Rhodes inevitably score twice against us whilst we did nothing for the whole match and sit there wondering how we've become that bad.
Going to Burton and watching us lose 2-1 and coming out thinking is this our level now.
Watched us getting absolutely s'housed by Harry Pell at the Wham and losing 2-1 wondering if we'll ever escape League one.
Also seen us beating Barnsley at Wembley then finishing 5th in the Premier League, beating Inter 1-0 at home. Being blessed to see Marcus scoring for fun, Dyer and Bent (Darren obviously) in a Town shirt, Hermann diving into the crowd and the genius of Reuser but realising how many years ago that was.
Since then it's been fleeting bits to enjoy like Murphy having that amazing season. Thinking Dean Bowditch was the second coming and Teddy Bishop looking like a world beater.
It now makes you realise how much an achievement this season is that we're even back at this level. I'm very much keeping a reality check on it and loving the season. The money it's brought in with stadium improvements alone. Going to Nice pre season and seeing level head on tap at Portman Road shouldn't be a wow moment...but it was and that shows where we were playing in a crumbling ground.
If we beat Everton and Leicester in the coming weeks, the forum will be a different place again.

I do wonder
at 10:15 10 Aug 2024

Can you imagine if this question was put to McKenna and Ashton at the fans forum if it was held last night for instance.

Ashton would be visibly annoyed and shake his head and god knows what McKenna would say as you’re suggesting McKenna isn’t going out to get a result in the first two matches and treating them as free hits.

We’ve spent over twice upfront in fees already than Luton did last season and thank god we have Ashton in charge of our transfers. He won’t let us be held to ransom and that’s why the owners trust him to spend what he does.

We’ve got x4 players in Greaves, Muric, Omari and Johnson who will all start so x4 positions upgraded. Delap I wouldn’t say is an automatic starter when everybody is fit but could force his way in and Townsend is important cover for Leif that we needed.

Let the club do their jobs and stop questioning what they’re doing and how they’re doing it. The club is operating in a different place to when they took over. Two divisions higher and the money they’ve spent (and still are as we speak) on the ground is huge.

Let’s enjoy what’s going on and look at it once the window is shut and see where we’re at then.

I've no idea why people come on here trying to cause aggro and bicker.

What does anybody gain by thinking they've "got the upper hand" on somebody on the TWTD forum!

In other news Patrick Vieira has just been on the same flight as my mate from Amsterdam to Manchester in a suit keeping himself to himself as you'd imagine he would be.

Ajax interview, an interview over here.........or just a weekend in Amsterdam.........hopefully now heading to Brighton!

I worked in the betting industry for 19 years until recently and it takes a few hundred quid to push in the betting markets on a special like a managers market.

I really wouldn't read too much into prices on betting sites on a manager.

I remember working at Hills at the time circa 2001/2 ish i think and we had a few punters put £50 on Ray Graydon to be the next Villa boss and the price tumbled. Needless to say he wasn't appointed!

Exactly that.

I don’t get it atall. Why comment on something just for the sake of saying something negative.

It boils my piss when I see it still going on in 2024. I’ve got a little girl who loves the experience of going to Portman Road, seeing bluey and all the rest of it. I don’t take her to many away grounds as I don’t want her exposed to some of the stuff you see like fighting at Wednesday earlier in the season. Racism you still see going on like the Palmer incident and sexism still!!

I always think my clubs abit different and a “family club” but then you see our own “fans” doing it and you just despair.

Some of the comments under Ashton’s video about tickets for the women’s game are an utter disgrace and I was embarrassed to see “Ipswich fans” being so sexist and misogynistic.

I didn’t think our club had this side to it vs many other clubs but clearly I was wrong,

I’m always trying to defend our club to my wife but how can I defend what’s wrote in black and white.

If you live in the 70’s then just don’t comment. You don’t like women’s sport, just don’t comment. You don’t think women’s sport is of a standard that satisfies you, keep those thoughts in your head and don’t comment. If you’re a misogynist, don’t bother commenting.

It sickens me to see comments like this anyway, let alone when it comes out of our clubs “fans”.

Ashton must’ve been absolutely sickened and embarrassed to see comments that followed his video and it ruins all the good work he’s been trying to do with the women’s teams. We’ve sold over 8,500 tickets so there is an interest in it clearly which is almost as much as we got under the last part of Micks tenure.
