 | News Comment | Morsy: Hutchinson Exit Should Have Been Smoother at 13:19:00
Mr Morsy, love you to death and commendable that you have came out with this in support of a young player, however, his conduct is deplorable, Omari who? Forgotten him already, never to be forgiven. |

Wish you all the luck in the world Omari, or as they say in the theatre, break a l...oh, i won't say that...also, good luck to Nathan, most of us knew over a month ago he was off to Wrexham and desperate to be back in his own country but he remained decent, professional and honest to the end. thanks for what you done for us and how you represented our club. |

Some amazing comments on here and other links RE Sam and i've said it all before about what a great player Sam has been for us and a great captain; what a man, all the best skip ps what i will say is because of the impact he has had in reversing this club's fortunes ( thank you Paul Cook, you were right about him ) he is in the ITFC all time greats outside of Sir Bobby's players ( and some of Sir Alfs ) and that is a very small number along with Tarrico and Marcus Stewart..... ....in fact, that would be a great challenge, name the greatest ITFC XL allstars but you can't include any players used by Sir Alf or Sir Bobby....LOVE YOU SAM MORSY make Kuwait your new kingdom! |

One of the best captains we have ever had, i know that is saying a lot, I love him like everybody else. Let him go to the middle east on a free as a reward for what he's done for the club? Absolutely, he deserves it. Let him go to Derby? Absolutely not! |

Also Blues 1, its a juxtaposition isn't it, we all want to be back in the prem because thats where you need to be to grow as a club, but i think a lot of our fans would admit, in many ways, it is crap compared to the championship. The majority of the players are 6ft plus ex academy athletes who all do the same thing in the given situations, there are no or very few mavericks anymore, because if they do not pass as per the team pattern for instance when 30 yards from goal they are worried about being subbed or dropped, Didzy was right when he said that. It is not as exciting, it is not the spectacle of the championship, It is boring! Also the season is completely fragmented, only 38 games as opposed to 46 and you can never get a head of steam up as there are so many breaks in the season. So i am just going to enjoy this season, even if we have a team of midgets ;0) and i do also want to desperately get back to the prem at first time of asking. |

blues 1, all fair comments, someone else has said about the pivot role and that is also a fair point, Morsy ( who i love so yes i am totally biased ) is brilliant at the pivot role, he has a low centre of balance and is as good at receiving the ball in tight spaces and turning as anyone i have ever seen, i take your points re makele, kante, davids etc who were all CDM's shielding the back 4 and I also think it (size ) doesn't matter in the championship, it is more about ability then size and strength and a midfield pairing of Morsy and Luongo was completely good enough in 23/24. I am just pointing out we are already not a big side, we have lost Axel and Cam Burgess who were two of our bigger players. The club, privately, including MA and Kieran ( they are not going to announce it ) will be targeting an instant return to the prem and i am just saying the prem has changed, massively. They are all athletes first and ballers second. Even Sam, who is as 'physical' a player as you can get in modern football was swatted aside at times last year. MA said club noticed the same and we would change profile of player we are targeting and than we are apparently looking to sign a 5 ft 8 midfielder, that is what i was slightly surprised at, anyway, in MA and Kieran we trust, up the farkin towan! |

In Kieran and Mark Ashton I trust but slightly surprised we are looking at a 5 foot 8 midfielder. The noticeable thing about last season to the last time we were in the premier was that all the players are physical giants. That was a big part in the likes of Omari, Jack Clarke, Leif etc struggling to make an impact because they got outmuscled by the physical beasts they were playing against. The smaller players of the established teams we played against were sort of starting at 6 ft! Mark Ashton alluded to this, we all know Kieran loves a baller, but MA alluded to the fact that the club was going to change the policy of profiling potential signings to include physical stature so that if we can get back to the prem we had players who not only were technically gifted but could also physically compete. Its just an observation, not a criticism. Up the farkin Towan! |

So pleased for Cam, looks to be a brilliant well thought out loan. Exactly what he needs to develop physically, technically he's got the lot. |

I think he captained Brom a few times last season as well, looks to be a good signing |
 | News Comment | Player of the Year Voting Gets Under Way at 13:02:16
It is one of those years its really hard to pick out because the whole team has been outstanding. Did you honestly think last year that Burgess and Hladky would play such a prominent role 'cos i didnt. Leif has been absolutely outstanding and such a very important member of the side, he's my runners up. But as I have said before and Arnie M says above, its Sam Morsy, it was also Morsy last year, he is the heartbeat and I hope he can keep playing 'til he's 40. One of our best ever signings IMHO and thank you Mr Cook! |
