So I know you can make a highlights video and make a player look absolutely awesome or absolutely woeful, but having watched his highlights reel, he really is a tremendous athlete. He looks really good to me in the Greaves mode and I think next to Greaves - i love all our players including Axel, Woolfy, Edmundson, Burgess - but you have to say it would be a hell of an upgrade. If they can get him or O'shea, Broja and Clarke, wow, what a transfer window. It is more of a squad game then ever with the 5 subs, something that without, we may not have been promoted such was impact of the 60 minutes attacking subs that KM made last year. Coupled with our high press intensity you want the players to be able to give everything they have got knowing that if they start to tire after an hour you can bring players on without being a weaker team.
Rotation will be involved, we may not play 4-4-2 often, but as an exercise our team could look something like this:

Supporting Town is like this:
Ashton and McKenna have proved, to take the expression from the song, that they know exactly what we need.
Ashton and the board, with all the great work they have done to the team, the training ground, the stadium, securing extra investment after buying us when we were floundering in the middle of league 1, have proven they know exactly what they are doing as well.
I know it seems too good to be true, i know you think you might be dreaming and will wake up and Paul Hurst is still our manager, I know you think its too perfect and something is going to go wrong.
It won't, you aren't dreaming, this is happening and just as we completely trust McKenna the board have also earnt the right for us to completely trust them.
You know when we had Sir Bobby and the Cobbolds and it was the perfect marriage, or when Arsene Wenger and David Dein had the same at Arsenal, or Fergie and Martin Edwards at Man U, well now we have KM and MA ( and the board ) and as Ed Sheeran might sing, its perfect. Football goes in cycles, we have seen a lot of crap and a stagnating,declining club since Jim Magilton went. It is hard to believe where we are now, but we are, stop worrying, just enjoy it. It really is OUR TIME my friend. |

We're not becoming another Forest at all. Many players have left and they obviously need to be replaced. Every single window, if we can improve on the squad, we will. If they think they can improve us in the January window, they will. If we stay up, they will look to improve us again. If that means that last years 'first 11' become this years squad players, well that is incremental improvement.
I think the fans are pretty good, if any of our squad are not good enough, we will still support them and will know they are giving everything to be as good as they can, and we will support them.
My view, and i think most Town fans view, is KM and MA have proved that they know what they are doing and we trust in them. If KM and MA think, for example, Edmundson is good enough for starting 11, he will play him, if he thinks he is not good enough, they will look to upgrade and replace. |

Definitely, plus the boy from Napoli coming and another striker at least, they'll stretch to get the very best striker we can afford I think. Not being negative at all but glad to come away only 2 -0 down, will take coming away 3-0 down at city, would love to score though, 1-3 would be a positive ( can believe I'm talking like this 😆) but THEN 36 Cup Finals to go! I'd write off Arsenal and Villa, home and away, Liverpool away, city home,and hope to lose respectably and then, even though it's so hard, see what we can do in all the other games. This club is going to invest and give it a right good go, we couldn't ask for more ! |

The first half was incredible, ok, so we couldn't keep it up, the intensity was too much but wow, Liverpool will be top 4, comfortably one of the top 20 sides in Europe, what a half town gave us, talk about running to adversity!
In truth, im as partizan a town fan as can be btw but Liverpool were a little merciful on us second half, they went full throttle for 5 minutes and went two up and saw the game out, we gave it all til the end, tiring noticeably the last 15.
The club, management, players, fans can all take a lot of heart from that, we're gonna get fitter, stronger and we know every one-off those players giving it 100 per
cent, fans board players management all together, what a club. We got KM, he knows exactly what we need, more incoming, farkin love it.
Ps scummers manager gone by November I reckon, Burnley gonna smash the championship, Scummers 8-12th, Leeds squeeze 2nd or win play offs beating Luton in final.

I love this club, not gonna lie, had a great deal of trepidation a few days ago but feel a lot better today! Hirsty will be back and i think he will come on well, i hope Liam Delap is going to have a cracking season too obviously but we are still very light on forwards, Ali needs to recover and will go on loan, Freddy will leave on a permanent, loan or a free I think. AND i think the club, before the window closes at the end of August, will go out and get the very best striker that they can in, whether that is abroad, could still be the bloke from Greece, or here i dont know. Broja would be a good acquisition but I am unsure of if he wants to come, you'd think he would opt for Southampton if he had the inclination to go to a newly promoted club. But i think we will get in a monster forward! Such an exciting time to be a town fan!!! |

Sam is the first name on the teamsheet, heartbeat of the team, captain and i expect that to continue. Could he even improve again? He has got better every year so far. I don't agree he has work to do to stay in the team, he has been our most important player of the last 3 years. |
