Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 17:39:19

Well done lads. Superb resilience and a great Taylor leap for the winner. But……..what on earth is going on in McKennas head about Muric. Again at fault for their goal. Muric is now more of a threat to us than the oppositions genuine talent. What a howler - near post blunder supreme. Sorry to mention this on a glorious day but if we don’t say it who will. Come on McKenna. Either this guy has got something on you or when it comes to goalkeepers you just don’t get it. The Vaz decision and the Muric decision both rank as the two poorest you’ve made at this club. Just admit you’ve made a mistake on this one and pick Walton please. Rant over. Thank you for signing Delap and Cajuste and reinstating Burgess and Chaplin. Four great McKenna decisions.

Ipswich Town 1-2 AFC Bournemouth - Match Report
at 21:53:22

McKenna has done great things for this Club and I will forever be eternally grateful for the last two seasons he has given us. Thank you Kieran.

However, in the summer he made sure this Club paid a kings ransom to keep him. £5m a year it is widely reported. So it is now about what he’s going to do rather than what he’s done. If we stay in that emotional hinterland we are kidding ourselves. And the reality is that he has done very poorly.

1. His player recruitment strategy has been bizarre. Resembled Paul Hurst but at a different level. Sign Championship players and try to stay up with them? Yes Delap looks good. Yes Szmodics tries hard. But Greaves, J Clarke…..how are they an upgrade on what we had before. And then O’Shea, Johnson and Phillips? ….what have they added that we didn’t already have. And as for Muric - probably one of the worst signings we have ever made. Burnley fans couldn’t believe we signed him - error after error, indecisive, wreckless. Yet McKenna keeps picking him. And that’s where we will fail. McKenna stubbornness on this goalkeeper will have us relegated and contribute to a huge tarnishing of his own reputation. It’s totally bemusing.

When we got relegated from the Prem last time two things stood out strongly. The signing of a disastrous goalkeeper in Sereni and the closeness of Sheepshanks with Burley that meant they both were on the same mutual admiration path to failure. A CEO or Chairman should be there to spot when things need changing but I fear the Ashton/Mckenna friendship and closeness could see a repeat of 2002.

We are good enough to stay up but only if we stop repeating basic errors. The biggest one being the repeated picking of Muric. He needs to be dropped and sold. Has anyone noticed that he doesn’t even join the player huddle before the match?

No one in this current team is better than Hladky, Walton, Woolfy, Luongo, Broadhead, Harness and Edmunson. They had heart and were part of true team spirit. Any surprise that Chaplin, Taylor and Burgess were our best players today?

Last season Muric made the biggest howler going for Burnley. It was all over the media. We all saw it. McKenna did this not give at least a clue to the disasters this goalkeeper - if he can be called that - was likely to bring to our club. Even in preseason he was a disaster. Get him out of the team now. Get him out of the Club in the Jan transfer window. Morsy and the other leadership group - time for you all to tell the Manager that this man is undermining the entire confidence of the defence who are not exactly a class act anyway

McKenna this ones down to you. You keep picking Muric. He keeps making howlers and because you haven’t got the guts to drop him because you wasted £8m on the clubs money on him we have to take the predictable consequences. Ashton - tell McKenna that this guy must be dropped. Forgive him the bad judgement to sin him in the first place and get Walton or Slicker in now.

Brentford 2-2 Ipswich Town - Half-Time
at 17:15:08

This is down to McKenna now. Muric picked again despite being and absolute useless goalkeeper. He is at fault for so many goals and puts panic into the defence. He’s too scared to admit this was a dreadful howler of a signing. Worst goalkeeper in our history and what’s more all the fans knew that before he even came here.

McKenna Deal Now Set to Be Confirmed Thursday
at 14:35:26

Some might think that if Mark Ashton - for whom we all have immense respect - continues to be humiliated much more by this circus he'd be better off bringing it to a conclusion and withdrawing the offer of a new deal. Let KM go - immensely sad though that would be - and get on with finding our next Manager. The queue would be a long one I'm sure - Club with great financial backing, with a fantastic culture, with a CEO who let's the Manager manage and who moves heaven and earth to get the right players in.....Who wouldn't want that?

McKenna Deal Now Set to Be Confirmed Thursday
at 12:44:28

Latest word on the street is that Man Utd have come in again amidst all the fervour of Kieran's intention to commit to Town long term. The stalling doesn't seem to be on contract detail at all - that's just a smokescreen - rather that Utd, having created so many rules that their new Manager has to follow have now put off the likes of Poch, Tuchel, De Serbi leaving Kieran as the candidate most likely to fall in line with what they now define as the role of the Head Coach. Really, really hope this is wrong but this elongated "we're about to announce" promise is starting to sound hollow. If this doesn't get over the line soon then Mark Ashton, who must be so frustrated with the whole situation, may find that candidates to replace Kieran - Robins, Corberan, Cooper, Potter, etc - are getting snapped up by others. I imagine the brotherhood relationship between Ashton and McKenna is now being severely tested.....and the players must be wondering what the hell is going on too...another brotherhood we don't want to see weakened. Like many on here I'm genuinely worried and starting to feel more than a little unimpressed by the silence which can only be down to KM and his agents CAA and the re-emergence of the Man Utd option.

Memorial Garden to Open Ahead of Swansea Match
at 19:03:08

Good friends of mine have watched the memorial garden take shape in the last few weeks. They had scattered their Dad's ashes on the pitch many years ago so it's meant a lot to them that he will have a this new resting place. I heard that a team from Notcutts planted up the garden with all the trees and plants which we took a look at last weekend before the Plymouth game. Love the fact that one of the plants they seem to have chosen had a label left in - its called Intense Blue!! Those guys know their Town for sure

Ashton: There Feels a Distance Between the Fans and the Club
at 11:16:34

Phil, apologies if I was a bit blunt in my feedback about the headline but you'll see that I did point out in my post how much I think of you and how this seemed out of character. You are a fantastic force for good for us supporters and you are undoubtedly my favourite Town journalist. So please accept that my passion overflowed perhaps. LondonBlue 73 - my post was in support of the club, in support of the new leaders and I for one have never turned and booed this club, our players and any of our past Managers (or even owners) as I am blue and positive through and through about our club. Good luck for the future both. Best wishes and come on you blues!!

Ashton: There Feels a Distance Between the Fans and the Club
at 08:45:21

Bluedandy, Chunkymunky - you are spot on in your comment about this dreadful and unrepresentative headline. Phil - what are you doing? This is right out of character for you and it wreaks of the worst of tabloid journalism. Last night was upbeat, positive, exciting and this headline is simply wrong - you should change it. "Ashton - we are determined to create a great sense of togetherness and community with our fantastic fans" would be more accurate.

Come on Phil - change this headline please. You heard very clearly last night that these great new leaders of our club draw a lot from social media. I can tell you that I run a sizeable company and if read this as a headline this morning I would be gutted that you chose to be so negative in your headline after what was an incredibly positive evening. You also heard that these guys have been working all hours god sends for our club and us and this type of headline will feel wounding and deflating to them for sure.

Come on Phil put wind in the sails of these guys don't take it out!!

Whatever you say about "well I clarified it in the first paragraph" isn't good enough. Get a grip Phil, change the headline now and get back to what you really are good at. Accurate and positive journalism

Mariner Was Everything a Manager Could Ask of a Centre-Forward and More
at 12:14:36

This news about Paul Mariner absolutely poleaxed me yesterday. Heartbreaking and shattering. He was one of my true heroes and in a away it was players from the team in which Paul starred that effectively became my own identity as I moved to Nottingham to live for a few years. My association with the Club and with Mariner and others were my badge of honour everywhere I went. There's probably something more deeply emotional happening here in that the heroes and football family of my youth are slowly departing us - Sir Bobby, The Beat and now Paul Mariner. Love you Paul - you gave me and thousands of others real life defining moments. Thank you. God bless you superstar

How good to get the backroom team going. Next it'll be good to start seeing the new team getting signed too.....they've a challenge supreme on their hands which we've got to believe they can do. How I wish this new team had inherited this first team - all needlessly let go by the last owner......unbelievable even to this day that he knew so little about knowing and keeping talent

Judge to Play No Further Part as Contract Extension Not Activated
at 09:55:37

Good luck Judgey. Remember that awful time for him when his leg got broken in the tackle with Luke Hyam. Perhaps we owed him for that but what a shame he didnt live up to what we thought was his potential. What is for certain however is that he gave us one of the highlights of this dreadful season with his altercation with referee Drysdale. Still split my sides laughing when I read the referee's report of what Judge was alleged to have said to him. 26 more to follow you Judgey
