Appalling. Delaney was awful, kept committing unecessarily and getting caught out. He clearly needs a more experienced defender to guide him through each game (embarrassing for a pro of his years). Smith woeful again. Leadbitter hasn't contributed anything for about 2 years. Chopra looked good, he is very clever on and off the ball with a great touch. I thought Edwards looked very good as well, came to the rescue a few times and was full of running. Even Stockdale looked shaky. A massively disappointing evening.
I would love for this to come off, they guy is young, hungry, very physical, can play pretty much across midlfield and attack and even at full back iirc. Check out the video of a reserve goal he scored, and the size of him!
I'm pleased that we are looking at the right sort of players in Moussi, Henry and Whittingham. They may be proving to be over-ambitious targets but PJ has the right idea and if he keeps pursuing players of the same calibre some of them will come off.
I signed my boy when I ordered the season tickets but no sign of them or the Junior Blues membership...hope it comes before next Thursday as I have booked the day off work to take him!
I hope this gets completed asap, minimise the risk of another club stealing in for him. Seems like an ideal signing, will be given immediate chances in the first team and can make the spot his own if he does well. Hopefully he will have competition from Joe Whight as well.
