In response to people saying he should play with Smith not Berra....I'm guessing none of you lot watched the Reading game? Their winger Bereens or something I think, was causing havoc down the right and had smith and Chambers on toast, then swapped wings and went completely quiet when faced with Knudsen and Berra.
Granted, the Smith against Preston was formidable but Berra is a much more consistent option at the moment which will benefit Webster a lot more and help ease him into championship football, I Mick wouldn't have given smith a contract last summer if he didn't see smith as Berras long term replacement. Certainly for this season though, Webster and Berra could be formidable. |
