Cheers and thanks for all the feedback from everyone (apart from the in-house squabbles, lol)

As for tame, it's pre season so the time for peace & goodwill.

Once the starting pistol fires in 3 weeks and i've had a few beers, i'll be like everyone else

Not so. Back then I had just started going to away matches although not many.

On the day of the Bradford fire disaster in 1985, I was watching us at Newport County, Somerton Park in Div 3. 4 years later, we came 5th in Div 1 (premiership for the younger viewers) under a previous owner Robert Maxwell, we sure know how to pick them !!

1st time in League One for Pride Park though. Classed as a 'new' stadium but next week is the 25th anniversary of the Queen opening the stadium. Time flies

Agreed, & I think he knows that but he couldn't stand by & watch us die & for that I am grateful

He'll probably look to sell us down the line once we've stabilised - just my guess

Yes, we've got plenty of Twitter goons thinking we'll be doing that.

More reasonable Derby fans know different.

We've made some decent signings but :

We have a rookie manager
We can't pay any transfer fees, hence why we're getting older players on 1 or 2 year deals
We're under an EFL agreed business plan which we cannot exceed
We can't pay loan fees or fees to agents
Our academy has been brilliant but the last 9 months has been mugged by Premiership & European clubs - for little or no fees

We need to be realistic & most are

Current starting 11. It's our first pre season game at Bradford tomorrow.

You know how in early pre season games you play 11 players till half time and then swap them for another 11 for the 2nd half, well we'll be packing our bags at half time !!

New owner is worth about £ 250m - £300m. He's a season ticket holder who just happens to be wealthy. Probably didn't want to buy the club but it all got very desperate with Mike Ashley & some Americans waiting to pick at the carcass but not actually doing anything

Season Tickets only went on sale 2 days ago due to administration - sold about 10,000 so far, probably end up around 20,000

Rooney ? Not sure about resentment, think we couldn't believe that he hung around when he was getting dumped on month after month

Taxes. The new owner is rumoured to have paid more than he needed to & the minimum was 25p in the £ to creditors. 100% of football debts have to be paid. Don't know if a deal was done with HMRC or not but assume they get at least 25% - anyway, see Mel bloody Morris for that invoice

Must admit it was bewildering to see how many points were needed just to make the playoffs last season in League One

Not much margin for error there then

Any list of teams to look out for sh1thousery style ?

Yeah, new signings seem good but we've still only got about 14 players despite those signings.

Knight I think will be sold, Sibley will stay but I'm also worried about our midfielder Krystian Bielik. He plays for Poland and expects to be in the World Cup but his international manager has said that it's no good him playing in the 3rd division

We also lost our leftback to Werder Bremen last week for free cause his agent used some TUPE law about new ownership means cancelled contract, or something

This will probably be a transition season for us but you never know

You're not filling me with much joy so far !!

What about having far more games on a Saturday at 3pm ? That's got to be better hopefully ?

I guess that could be good for attendances

So what's it like in League One ?

I've heard rumours of shocking referees and horrendous time wasting but just wanted the thoughts from fans of a similar sized recent Championship club ?

Quality of football, treatment from other teams fans etc.

All the best
