Not a bad first 11 using currently unassigned players
at 14:24 11 Jul 2017

Now, I'm not saying these players are good enough for town or that Mick should sign them but briefly looking at players that haven't got a club at the moment you could make up a whole championship team using players who have played at that level and could probably hold their own..... Not win the league but do enough to to stay in it.

A realistic loan target??, at 22 needs to have some proper games under his belt, Chelsea and England obviously see something in the kid but needs to grow and flourish in a starting 11 week in and week out. Id have him over Skuse in midfield........
I think a deal could be done here......... Mick needs to strengthen this squad so why not?

lets pretend you won £400 million on euro millions
at 14:08 25 Jan 2017

Ok so the balls come out and you check your numbers and boom you've only gone and won 400 million.... what next....
would you contact Mr Evans and ask how much he wants for the club, and what transfer kitty would you give the new manager assuming you paid Mick off!
You could quite easily burn through 400 mill if you started signing players like Alli and Sturridge etc
I think id get the club for 20 mill then give the gaffer a transfer kitty for 30 million, Id reduce the season tickets to £250 a season, Id also do free travel for all away games.
But...
Id want to be named as a sub and in the off chance we are 3.0 nil up against someone id give the manager the nudge and come on for the last 5 minutes up front.... (might get a cheeky penalty)
I know im dreaming but what else can I do this season but be in dream land.

I'm man enough to admit I'm wrong and its time for Mick to go.......
at 09:39 9 Jan 2017

I've been a Mick fan as there is a certain "underdog" story to get wound up in and everyone loves an underdog story.
In my mind, Mick going against other teams millions in the championship he deserved some slack and I let him off the torrid style of play that come's week in week out. I gave him excuses of "oh he's got no transfer budget" and "he's best players are injured" and "the team his facing has spent 20+ million"
And getting Ipswich into the play offs that season put him into Hero status for me...
But I had no excuses to defend the man on Saturday. I went with optimism thinking that Lincoln are non league and even with the magic of the FA cup should win at least 2.0...
Get the ball down and knock it around and even if the score was 2.0 I would be buoyed by a good footballing performance.
But.
I lasted 72 minutes Saturday, I rose from my seat and shouted to my mate (had to shout because if the noise the Lincoln fans were making) I shouted "Im done...." My mate looked at me and had no come back.... two words was all it needed to let him know how sad/frustrated/angry/depressed I was.
So as I scooped up my son and made my way down the steps and out through the back of the stand I tried to dissect how/why was it so bad...
Lincoln shouldn't be able to lay a glove on a championship team but fair play to their manager, he had a game plan and tactics and played to his players strengths, The big lump number 9 out bossed and out muscled Berra and Webster all game but what stood out was the difference of the ball played into the target men.... Every ball that was played up to Pitman he had to jump for.... and lost... he is not Murphy so why are we continuing to play that way, but to be fair to Lincoln every ball into their man was into his body and he could hold it up and shrug of the Ipswich centre backs and play in others when they got up the field....releasing the pressure off the defense and meant they could play "football" further up the field! The blokes pace was abysmal and he moved like the titanic but it didn't matter as they played to his strengths and it worked and he made webster and berra look like school kids, just before I left they had even stopped jumping to compete with him.
The point I'm trying to make is Saturday was the perfect chance for Mick to set up his shop and say to the team "go out and express yourself and go and get the ball and keep it and enjoy it. But it was evident there was only one town player enjoying his football and its player who doesn't even belong to us! Lawrence is treating his time here to impress his owners and lowering his style of play to accommodate Micks wont get him in Leicesters starting 11, so he will continue to get the ball down and run with it and take people on.... Lawrence has got the making of being a new superstar, being the new bale, but needs to demand the ball at every occasion as large parts of the game he disappears.
Going on two astounding runs does draw the eye but to be the new bale he needs to demand the ball and do it 10 times a game, don't get me wrong the boy has got it in him and can glide past people but needs to show more in 90 minutes.
Anyway I'm going off topic,
Lincoln proved Saturday that you don't need 11 superstars you just need a manger to give you tactics and a style of play and no your jobs, The Lincoln players made Ipswich look like a non league team.
So Mick has to go I'm afraid, he has built a squad to compete but not a team to excel... with more of a tactician in charge I would return to Portman road as sadly I can not endure that level of football so wont be returning while Micks in charge.
So thank you Mick for saving us against relegation and thank you for repairing a squad that Jewell had decimated. but its time to go.....

Ravel Morrison ?!? Worth a punt????
at 16:04 4 Jan 2017

Maybe I do spend far too much time on championship manager or maybe its just because I bought my lunch from there..... But would Ravel Morrison be a good signing??
He is 23... has experience... centre midfielder who is having a torid time in Italy with the old lingo..
Far Superior choice over Douglas/Bru/Coke.... He has a point to prove and would be desperate to return to the uk...
Main issue is he is a bit of a bad boy... And would Mick want that attitude? but hey we all do stupid stuff when we are young and the boy is still only 23.....
I think if could slot in perfectly into our midfield, he can spot a pass and plays on the half turn, and chips in with the odd goal...
Come on Mick pick up that phone and a Italian phrase book.....
