 | Forum Reply | 250 million at 08:38 3 Oct 2024
I think this number makes sense, isn't it about £100m a year in TV money? Even if a club gets relegated first season they get (roughly I think) 50% of that in the first parachute season and 30% in the second. Thats £180m Then you can add in more sponsorship/ merchandise/ ticket money for the rest of it which are probably more valuable for a few seasons. That all combined only needs to be roughly £70m over a few seasons for £250m to be believable. Just read that you said the region not the club! I will leave here so my workings are not wasted. I actually think Everton Sacking Dyche would be a mistake. My current logic is I want Southampton to keep RM but Everton to get rid of SD because I doubt they will do better. |

 | Forum Thread | KM's new release clause at 08:17 28 May 2024
Assuming KM is signing a new contract, and that his previous release clause was something like £6m, what (roughly) can we expect his new release clause to be? One logic says more money all round = bigger release clause. Another logic says KM is in such a powerful position that the clause would remain small by prem standards or even go down. We have all come to terms with losing him one day, I am just wondering if we will get a load of cash for that when the day eventually happens. |

Unsure if I see Palace being down there, perhaps a Brentford/ Bournemouth. On the one hand it is clear there is a massive gap from the champ to the prem. On the other hand there are multiple levels within the prem, and our b team did beat wolves and come close to Fulham last season, so I do like to think that our improved first team could get points off a lot of mid table prem teams. |

If we really have offered 100k a week, how much more pay actually are they offering? Also both man U fans and Chelsea fans actively don't want him. It feels like he's doing almost doing anything to get out of here. |
 | Forum Reply | McKenna......out? at 20:53 23 May 2024
Pretty much agree exactly. This is of McKennas doing at this point, he clearly wants to leave. I'd rather him gone so we can focus on building our squad with the next manager. I cannot believe it, but McKenna out. |

Yes fair enough- although some will presumably get taken in the next few days and transfers organised/ planned before the window. I suppose I'm just a bit annoyed about how this is happening and making the point that if he wanted to, KM could stop this. |
 | Forum Reply | BBC saying McKenna and Pert want to move on at 17:17 22 May 2024
Well he is happy to leave us lingering then, if he is going to move he is happy with the fact we will have less time with whoever our next manager is and perhaps even choosing from a lesser pool of managers as they get taken. |
 | Forum Reply | BBC saying McKenna and Pert want to move on at 17:11 22 May 2024
I know people are happy to blame the agents, but on some level KM could put an end to this at any minute surely? He could ask the agent to stop, he could sign a contract at town. If he has been offered 100k a week as reported, given what we have been through the last two seasons after us taking a shot on him, with him supposedly loving it here and having a training ground designed to his spec, and he is STILL undecided, I am becoming very sour and at this point would happily turn our attentions elsewhere. |
 | Forum Reply | How wrong would it be to place a bet on Norwich? at 17:08 16 May 2024
I have done this a few days ago. I need the insurance. I justified it because I honestly think if the options existed I would pay more for a season ticket that guaranteed no N*****h in the prem, so this is my way of artificially making that. |

I'd personally love to see it. Nobody sits down there anyway. At loftus road they had it in part of the away section and it is so much better and safer having the rail in front of you. Protects you from people falling over seats giving it their fake 'limbs' so it means everyone can jump around and go crazy in the peace of mind they wont be clattered into by somebody who immediately falls over when we score. |
