 | Forum Reply | Rashford - How on earth has he pulled off a move to Barca??? at 21:55 23 Jul 2025
“Also, Rashford was OK at Villa but hardly £300k a week good” I think that’s the main issue. On that sort of money you’d be expecting one of the best players in the prem & he’s been nowhere near that level for the last while. He’s also took a massive wage cut to join Barca, and to me he won’t be a starter for them |

Isn’t Huni with Eddie Hearn? Eddie complains about everything when his fighters don’t win. Probably his idea to launch an appeal. My view is it was probably a slight hometown decision, but definitely not a scandal |

I don’t think he was ever properly announced on the card was he? This is from Talksport 3 days ago “According to reports, Whyte was due to box unheralded 24-1 New Zealand heavyweight Hemi Ahio in his third fight since the collapse of his rematch with Anthony Joshua.” Whyte has apparently been offered a big fight with Moses Itauma in Riyadh in August, & that has ‘taken priority’ |

Talksport are doing their usual ‘watch along’ show on YouTube & the commentators are all wearing those see through raincoats. And they’re ringside |

Again, as far as I know that’s all correct. In your experience from living there, would you say that the majority of white South Africans are racist? |
 | Forum Reply | Making apartheid great again at 19:15 20 May 2025
I don’t disagree with any of that, as I say they were badly lead. What part of what I said don’t you agree with? The manipulation? |
 | Forum Reply | Making apartheid great again at 19:12 20 May 2025
What I was trying to put across was that ALL Afrikaners weren’t racist the way some would have you believe. If you lived there I’m sure you had friends who identified as Afrikaner, who weren’t racist. On Hashim Amla, apologies, that was a google search gone wrong on my part. On second look it said below “also including results for African cricketers” |

Out of interest, what parts of their privileges being reduced are they bitter about? I had relatives who lived in Joburg for a few years pre & post the abolition of apartheid. They weren’t native but & I remember them telling of very serious crime & murder rates & having to watch were they went in the city. When you say there’s no evidence to suggest the farmers are disproportionately victims compared to any other group, has there been evidence to the contrary? The official figures will be there somewhere & if released would potentially end the debate & make Trump & co look foolish for suggesting otherwise |

Impartial reporting? It’s an opinion piece, the same as the original article. The difference is the Sky News piece, whether impartial or not, has evidence of a political in SA figure telling a large gathering of people that it’s sometimes ok to kill. There was also some chanting with said large crowd gesturing guns in the air. No mention of any of this in the original article No specific interest in this, other than already having basic knowledge of the Afrikaans |

It’s actually worse than I thought, there is evidence in that video of politicians telling a large group that it’s sometimes ok to kill etc Are you saying that they are lying about all the farmers who have been killed? This is all new to me by the way, I haven’t been following the story or recent news in general |

There was the Progressive Party, as far as I know most if not all others were outlawed. The National Party, who brought in apartheid (literal meaning ‘Apartness or Separation’) played on the fear of black on white crime etc & promised to protect the white minority. Crime was understandably high in SA due to lack of opportunity across the divide. A lot of what are now considered the original Afrikaans were giving the incentive of free land for farming to move to SA. This is when it was a Dutch colony in the 16/1700s. Obviously with this foot up, they were the minority, but owned a lot of the land. I’m not up to date with the recent SA political situation, but it seems it’s claimed that this group is now having land taken from them etc, leading to the offer of relocation by the US |
 | Forum Reply | The Athletic reporting Delap at Man Utd for talk at 11:59 20 May 2025
It will be for his potential & the fact he’s relatively cheap for a young English player who’s done pretty well in a relegation side. Southampton are apparently asking £100m for Tyler Dibling for instance (lol) As someone else said, he’s clearly better than Hojland at the moment too, so it’s an instant upgrade for Man U up front. I do think if Utd had more money about them at the moment they’d prefer Gyokeres etc but looks like Liam’s going to benefit & it’ll be sink or swim for him in the pressure cooker of Old Trafford |
