A scientist on the radio, the other day, was explaining that 'herd immunity' is unlikely with this type of virus reminding everyone the evidence to suggest there will never be 'herd immunity' is down to the fact they modify which is why a Flu vacine has to be given to many people each winter |

You are one of those not taking this seriously - maybe you have devine protection?
You don't know about the re-emergence of the virus in Singapore ? You know that it is not the same virus or one that has gotten around human immunity?
You don't believe the medical staff that have no PPE?
Have you not noticed the reduction in BBC reports from Asian countries?
YOu ignore the WHO? You also ignore the World bank & IMFC

There may be substance to that at least as far the the most important stuff is concerned
It is certainly being rationed to some in the medical profession.
Errors seem to have been made as late as edn Feb - Mid March
Now it is re-emerging, or new strain in Asia things are not going to get better |

I don't disagree with anything you have posted in particular the levels of under reporting deaths in the community is a bit scary- more than 10k suggested from one source - which is why the police have now decided to enforce the lockdown
What is NOT being reported widely is the re-emergence in some Asian countries who thought they had not only peaked but were now clearing, Some countries are now going into a more severe form of restrictions / lockdown. It is not yet known if this is a second wave or a different strain.
New york now has more cases than any Country BUT it is all going to be over by easter
I spoke to my GP, by phone yesterday, his surgery still has no PPE. What hey do have has been provided by shools & donations.
This is truly horrific & although it is classeless it is certainly hitting the poor much harder & for longer than any other sector of the community. |

It isn't 'political gumpf' is it?
Starving the NHS of cash and not stockpiling critical equipment / materials was a political choice as part of the austerity programme enforced upon the poorer people in society.

Has the UK been caught with its pants down or is all of this part of the strategy?
The small numbers of tests being performed must bring in to question the accuracy of a small % of a large organisation like the NHS, never mind the population as a whole.
It is difficult to imagine any organisation let alone a government could have got somethin like testing & PPE procurement so badly wrong unless it was planned to be so & not rectified in time? |

Maybe Gove isn't a 'bare faces liar' but he is an habitual liar, as history shows.
Wasn't it Gove who brought D Cummings into the tories as his SPAD?
Wasn't it after then Gove said we'd had enough of experts?
Now the tories are going back to stage one & bringing in a Lynton Crosby whiz, Isaac Levido, to help get the lies straight.
