And the interim manager is Simon Rusk. Failed manager at Stockport County. Given a fortune relative to the National League, played tippy tappy rubbish and lasted about a year. We couldn’t wait to see the back of him. Replaced by Dave Challinor who turned the same players into a team that achieved two promotions in three seasons. Let’s hope Saints take ages to find a new permanent manager.

Except he won’t be playing against academy lads like he was at EP tonight. County had about six 17 year olds in the line up. I was at the game and he looked like an averagely good championship player. Sigurdsson much more impressive. Sure SS scored two goals tonight but believe you me as a County fan with the team we put out tonight quite a few NLN strikers would have had a brace. Don’t take tonight as a meaningful further reason Town should buy him.

First Woman Referee in Charge at MK Dons

She officiated at a Stockport County game in the National League last season and was excellent. We were disappointed that she was then moved up a division, but then so were we and we had her again about 4 games ago in League 2. Once again excellent.
So much so that every subsequent game where we have reverted back to the usual dross you will often hear fans shouting "please can we have Rebecca back?". She's diminutive, but obviously has some sort of on field aura that just results in the players behaving - you won't see many players gaining a ton of yards at throw ins for instance. My guess is that after Saturday you'll want her for every game.
