 | News Comment | Bristol City Confirm Ashton Exit at 11:40:45
Right decision or not what is good is the decisiveness. It's probably who we want and we secured it with little fuss. That's not something we could often say about the previous regime. Hopefully that translates in to the player recruitment |
 | News Comment | Owner Evans Apologises for Careful What You Wish For Comment at 15:15:05
“if anyone took offence, I apologise”. I hate when people start with if people are offended. That's not an apology, it's a more of a subtle middle finger response and he knows it. Just say, it was wrong, I misjudged the wording or something and for that I apologise. Not good enough for me for somebody so senior. He may say he wants harmony and what we want but his actions don't align. |
 | News Comment | Magilton Named Sporting Director at Dundalk at 19:32:53
I miss Magilton and remember him fondly. I would have liked him to have been given another season at least. However, I do remember that throughout large parts of his final season, we were very inconsistent and there was a lot of grumbling for him to go. Nobody was pleased about the way he was dismissed and there was a big buzz about the place when Keane came in. It's easy to look back with hindsight about this. I think it was the appointment of Keane which was the bigger issue. During Magilton's time we did spend over the odds and bought worse than the previous 18 months ie. Norris, Lisbie, Campo, Thatcher vs Legwinski, Walters, Pablo, Wright |
 | News Comment | O'Neill: Lambert's Job is Safe at 20:03:09
I'd prefer watch town in the southern conference or below work their way up with a proper owner and staff paying a proper ticket admission price than listen to this spin. All a waste of space stealing a living |
 | News Comment | Dyer Returning as Town U23s Coach at 15:01:31
The last ex player did alright as manager. He always comes across as pretty switched on in football terms at least. With the style we play and the youngsters coming through, it wouldn't be the worst idea to start easing him in to the picture. Might bring a feel good factor back to the club. |
 | News Comment | Town Sign Arsenal Defender McGuinness on Loan at 18:14:37
Arsenal rate him and it might allow us to give Nbada some experience on loan if he's only going to be 3rd or 4th choice CB this season. Interesting to see how he gets on. He was decent in the cup game against us. Built like a tank! |
 | News Comment | Ferguson: We Might Be Top Had Town and Wycombe Not Played Bolton's Youth Team at 13:26:51
He hasn't mentioned that if his side managed to hold on to the win against us and get better results against Fleetwood and Oxford at the start that they would be above us. A lack of responsibility for your own poor results early on it seems is being masked here. You may finish above us, you may not, who knows? For now, jog on and concentrate on what you can influence |
 | News Comment | Town Match Fans' Charity Ticket Donations at 11:44:11
Well done all round. Believe it was Luke Chambers from the current squad who contributed and got the players to donate some of their complimentary tickets ðŸ‘🻠|
 | News Comment | Hurst Fumes After Cup Defeat at 07:45:01
The squad isn't as bad as the results have suggested but one up front just doesn't seem to be the answer. What's so bad about 4-4-2 with pace on the wings and power through the middle? PH will need to take a look at himself as well as his players and get over himself about the formation, play something that works even if that means upsetting some players. This will take time and that's absolutely fine but at least for now, two up top makes more sense if we're creating those half chances but not converting. 🤞🻠|
 | News Comment | Town Confirm Roberts Signing at 12:41:13
Webster sale looks good business. We turned down big money for McGoldrick and I'd imagine that ME didn't want to make the same mistake for another injury prone player. Both quality players on their day but if injuries continue and it is a gamble, that might be the peak of what we'd get. Much easier to replace a solid defender than a goalscorer too. Other signings are potential and if PH can unlock it, also great business. If not, unlikely to be a huge loss. Seems sensible all round |
