A lot of our deluded fans needed this reality check, a lot of wallys getting excited after beating an awful gills side. Bolton aren't even that good . We just were poor both ends of the pitch. Matt Penney is woeful sadly we need someone on left . Could also do with a scoring central midfielder .

Easy run in if we were any good but these players aren't . Some of the games recent have been lost to teams fighting to survive and fight is something this group lack. We wouldn't of got playoffs under lambert and if we had we wouldn't be able To beat any of the teams in the playoffs . Yeah I took a swipe cos some of our fans are full of tripe and just think we are going to wave a wand and all will be fixed . This whole change is perfect for setting things up for next season. And cook has clearly called some of this awful squad out and they don't like it rightly or wrongly |

Dingus, lambert achieved nothing at all, and you can see why with lack of funds and shocking loan signings. Apart from a couple of wins just before cook we were on freefall . You seriously think cook should go? Anyone with a little knowledge knows he needs the summer to get his players in that will play his style and ideas. These players shouldn't need managing for the remainder of games they should be fighting for contracts. As painful as it is it shows that a total cleanup and new squad is definitely needed and we can finally lose a lot of deadwood . |

CANNOT believe some of the daft comments on here about blaming COOK and that is he up to the job and that he needs to do something different , unreal!
think hes played a lot of different players to give them a go to show something and they have all let him and us down., this is the worst bunch of players ever. some will never play for a club as big as ipswich again and they dont even want to fight for a new deal. JOKE.
some of you need to get real and give cook and the club chance to ship 20-25 players out and bring a whole new team and set the new ethos.
saddens me how brain dead some of you are.

i will get shot down for this but some of our fans do need a reality check.
we think we can just get this manager in or that manager and it will all become magic.
we would need some luck to pick up a really good young manager or get a wiser head in who can still manage in todays game.
we have been in steady decline for years apart from 1 flukey season where murphy scored 1 in 2 and we sneaked a few one nils. the play off loss to Norwich shew how far off we were anyway.
so steady declines, selling our better players and not willing or affording to spend money on decent replacements or loan wages for good players.
taking in to account lack of passion and face from owners/directors and falling crowds the whole club is sadly in a horrible downslide.
it sucks especially with the horrible yellow muck picking up some results.
But what is the answer.....
as bad as it is and not just results performances too.. i still think give hurst a bit of time, 2/3 wins in 4 games would changes things a lot (unlikely i know) .
i just dont see who we get or who would want to come here.

yes it sucks to be an ITFC fan right now but some of you choppers need to get real.
most of you probably wanted Mick gone and this appointment so give it a bit more time.
of course its hursts fault we dont look like scoring, but you cant blame him for bad mistakes giving goals away and then having to chase most games.
i think we give him 20 games and then something happens either way.
some of you think we have a divine right to be at the top but we dont pay players enough /we are not an attraction right now.
take TOM LAWRENCE for example... did we have the funds to sign him? maybe but question why we didnt?
then we were linked to gerrard/lampard , you honestly think they would come here?
this is what we are right now and with Evans in charge we have no face or character or persona.

big respect to the fans, it only took me 1hr 20 to get there from where i live but that felt too far to travel for that.
MM has to go theres no other scenario.

i think we had 1 deflected shot and that was it.
players out of position, skis and douglas are poor poor poor.
no strikers.
I'm past being angry now its just a joke this man is still at the club.
we play for a point in nearly all games even at home, have no plan b.
when was the last time a player in our team took a shot from outside the area? no set piece specialists, no proper wingers, no creativity, no overlapping of fullbacks.

enjoyed the singing in the stand more than the game to be honest, great support as always.
Dozzel brightened the day up and feeney was a big plus.
how we are 8th i will never know we are a real awful side, but i wonder if we had a decent midfield with proper wingers we could be ok because defence could be ok and we have 4 decent strikers.
but the style and instructions for the team from MM are shocking, hoof it anytime instead of looking for calm pass, no structure in the middle to keep the ball.
we aint asking for barca football here but these guys should be able to make a few passes.
on to next season and lets hope for some more youngsters to come through, get rid of douglas, berra has had his best days now i think and move chambo in to centre back and get a new right back. |

feel sorry for the season ticket holders really do.
paid £33 for away ticket to the sheff weds away game and I really don't want to go.
whats the point anymore.
we don't try and win games, we don't play football.
I could cry, never been so disinterested in an Ipswich side in 25 + years.
Super Jim never had any money at the start either and he at least gave us some nice football mostly at home I appreciate that, but we had a small buzz about the place and we had some promising youngsters getting chances.

decent article mate , nowt wrong with it in my opinion.
all the other clowns on here thinking it will make a big difference to our league form for resting the first teamers are clueless.
granted this was a replay but we should of played a stronger team in the home tie to get the job done.
surely winning encourages morale and more cup tiers against bigger clubs possibly away keeps players pumped and competing for places.
this squad isn't good enough to go up, they don't want to go up, who would keep their place in the prem??

the majority of the reason it was a scrap is because the back 5's distribution of the ball is shocking.
everytime a small bit of pressure is applied they hoof off for a throw or lose possession or go back to keeper who then boots out for a throw.
we need to play forward as much as poss and use the midfield.
its possibly partly because skuse and douglas dont come looking enough for it.
douglas adds nothing to this team for me.
chambo not a right back so can play with ball.
all in all we were disappointing i thought. |

I was at the game but had to sit with the Leeds mob unfortunatley.
we didnt play too bad and didnt play too well either.
funny ol game typical champ game until 70 mins in.
barty should of saved the freekick easy enough but that is a game if we are serious about going up that we have to win. Leeds are hardly a great side right now and were there for taking.
again we lose games in midfield i feel , lack of creativity (missing players i know) and no goals from midfielders, cant take corners.

our midfield is shocking.

we need to play 4-5-1 when everyone is fit.
2 holding midfielders with sears/mcgoldrick/bishop behind Murphy.
that would see some creativty and 3 players who can play on the ball.

current midfield and system is just shocking and we look so weak there.
