 | News Comment | McCarthy and Clegg at AGM Tonight at 12:40:16
The AGM should be about how the club is managed over all and from where I sit it aint good, whatever happens on the field will only be temporary whilst every other aspect of the club seems to be going to the dogs: club deep in debt, no comms strategy, no commercial strategy (the new club shop in town is worse than a charity shop), ignoring the express wishes of the fans re the academy, lack of negotiating nounce re player contracts, no marketing strategy for season tickets and match day pricing and worst of all if you are a vegetarian having to order a pie two weeks in advance with money up front! They cannot even attract a bookmaker into the ground! |

I have been impressed by the reports of the new Brighton Ground. The whole area around the ground could be better with some cafe type places (why has the old shop lain empty for so long?) Inside as well the eating and drinking experience could be a whole lot better - not everyone wants 3000 calories of pie and chips, there is masses of space on the Britannia side of the ground to do something with. |
 | News Comment | No Big Screen at Portman Road for USA Game at 21:37:32
May day was not cancelled just had to reduce from 2 main stages to one cos of H+S and insurance issues. I am surprised that the promoters left it so late to get going, anyone with a brain cell knows that to do this sort of event takes months of negotiations. Ispwich Borogh and the club have also missed a trick they should have had raked seating and stuff organised for the practice pitch months ago. Marcus Evans sports events genius - your 'aving a giraffe! |
