 | News Comment | Town's Broja Deal Off at 15:55:58
I would be happy if we got Morgan Whittaker (Burnley have reportedly made an approach for him). Otherwise let’s hope we have an ace up our sleeve elsewhere |
 | News Comment | Town Confirm Ogbene Signing at 10:32:53
Wes Burns is quite quick, and we’ll miss his pace while he’s out. This signing gives us great cover as he recovers. Pace down the right with Phillips ability to pick a pass, I can see this being a shrewd bit of business. And £8m in the Premier league is peanuts compared to what many sides are spending. |
 | News Comment | Blues Linked With Luton Winger at 22:36:53
I know he has Premier League experience, but I would prefer Morgan Whittaker if we could get him. That said KMK knows what he’s doing and what he wants, so I will keep my trust in him. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Muric Calf Injury, Burns Hamstring at 11:02:36
I’ve always rated Walton and I wouldn’t be concerned if he was to have a run in the team. He’s always worked hard and I’m pretty sure we would have been just as successful last season if he had been between the posts. If he plays against Man City and has a good game it would be nice to give him a game against Fulham. |
 | News Comment | No Fortuna Extra-Time at 18:04:37
I’m disappointed that we’re not having the extra time. I paid for Town TV to watch the last game expecting the extra time and I bought a ticket for this match based on the extra time, so just a little disappointed. Hopefully all the new signings will play and would be a nice surprise if they were able to announce another one on Saturday. |
 | News Comment | Philogene 'Set to Rejoin Villa' at 16:45:52
This comes as no surprise. He’s been waiting for Villa all along. Hope we have some alternatives in the wings. I would quite like Morgan Whittaker. I know he doesn’t have Prem experience but I think he could be developed. Not sure who else is available, that fits our mold. Onwards and upwards COYB! |
 | News Comment | Hull City Centre-Half Greaves Linked at 11:59:32
Sounds like speculation to push his price up. Not convinced by any media story as our model is to keep transfer dealings close to our chest until done. Onwards and upwards. I will just look forward to hearing from the horses mouth when we have made a signing. |
 | News Comment | McKenna Deal Now Set to Be Confirmed Thursday at 15:16:39
When we won automatic promotion, it gave us a great opportunity to use the extra time to focus on new signings we might want. Sadly this advantage has now been lost as, whoever is the Manager will want a say on who we bring in and where we need to strengthen. Really frustrating, but I guess we should have expected it. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 4-3 Rotherham United - Match Report at 15:13:46
The strength and confidence in defence is driven by a confidence in the goalkeeper. Unfortunately Hladky has been making more and more mistakes of late. Personally, I think Walton needs a run of games to restore confidence in our defence and help get us across the line. |
 | News Comment | Preston North End 3-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:47:10
Last season we broke records for the number of clean sheets. Hladky has too many errors in him. Again today he was terrible playing out from the back. Whilst Walton hasn’t had great games this season, I think we should give him a run in the first team again. He will soon settle back into his stride and is a safer pair of hands (and feet) than Hladky. |
 | News Comment | McNally Among Defenders On Town's List at 11:55:31
If this is true, it sounds more like a loan than a permanent deal. I can’t see Burnley off loading someone they signed last season on a 4 year contract. |
 | News Comment | Morsy Linked With Saudi Clubs at 22:34:17
Whilst Morsy still has something to offer Ipswich, Saudi clubs tend to pay over the odds for players. So it wouldn’t be the end of the world if he did go. Rather than going there on a free next season. We could use the income for another young hungry midfielder |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Camara and Baggott Set For Loans, Pigott in Discussions On Town Future at 11:57:53
Just a question, whilst Morsey and Mass were brilliant for us last year, they are no spring chickens and won't go on for too many seasons to come. Are our current crop of central midfielders strong enough to fill their boots? I'm hoping Jack Taylor will show us some class and potentially be a captain in waiting. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Camara and Baggott Set For Loans, Pigott in Discussions On Town Future at 11:50:03
I've never rated Piggott. He's only really had one season where his goal tally was good. He's not done enough since. I trust that we're working very hard on trying to find better strikers than we have in the building. If we can't find the right striker to bring in on a permanent, basis I can see us dipping into the loan market. We might be able to get an out of favour Premier League striker in, or some young upcoming talent that is currently outside of Championship budgets. Sending the other two on loan makes perfect sense for both them and us. |
