Problem the way I see it is, we do not play with an identity, we do with McKenna.
We just pick the best players probably due to pressure and shoe horn them into a system and hope that pure individual brilliance will win the day, as against picking for the system that’s been identified by the manager.
The representation of Real Sociedad players in the team says it all. Finished about 7th in the league but they fit the profile and the system. Times move, we now unlike before have some of the best players in the world but a team with an identity we do not have |

Missed out or as I prefer to see it, being sensible with financial planning.
We have a player profile that will match a few players and we’ll have a financial profile that fits also, I’d much rather get both the player and the deal right than to have our hands forced by agents or other clubs. That he’s found the cure for insomnia, get down the patent office peeps and rake in the millions.
Like a lot of people, once you get back from work, unload the day, spend time with kids, cook and eat dinner, there is only about 2 hours left in the day, if you want a decent sleep before the morning and they serve you up this horses do overs for the evening appetiser, god help us all 🙄

What I took from the caption was that OUR manager was potentially being classed as the hottest young managerial prospect in Europe, so I didn’t really get where you were coming from.
I like Southgate but as a club manager I think McKenna is better |

You could argue the Manure defender has the advantage as he is facing and running in the right direction whereas Wright is pretty much stationary on the half turn |
