At this point, anyone coming in is essentially buying a club they know is likely to become a L1 team, with a high likelihood of becoming a L2 team, with the transfer embargo they have. No L2 team is worth £100m... (correct me if I'm wrong).
Maybe £25m?! with the history etc? Still feels pretty steep considering the amount it will take to sort the infrastructure and stop the slide down the leagues following consecutive relegations (assuming they are next allowed to sign players in Jan 2027 and arent able to save the season).
I can' see anyone coming in to save the club and I can't see Chansiri doing the right thing and lowering the price to a reasonable price. [Post edited 30 Jul 16:13]

I think a kick ass RB, decent backup CM, elite CF and we are getting there. Maybe a #10, as I still think Omari is best out on the wing.. I know thats still 4.. The gulf with the prem is huge!! |

No club deserves this.. Not even the sister botherers from up the road.
Their Owner holding out and not giving new owners a chance to buy players and save the club is only devaluing the club more, a vicious circle it seems. Will he still want £100m when they are all but relegated by Xmas? |

My sources are saying that this is a strategic signing, with McKenna wanting to "Get the Band back together". Its thought that this signing could be the final domino in the line, leading to the signing of our flagship striker. I'm hearing that Rooney is on his way to Portman road as we speak. Not expected until after supper. |

But for how long, considering they are selling the spine of their team and T Frank has left for Spurs...? Lesser things have disrupted bigger clubs in the past.
Despite the above inference, I am not saying they are a dead cert to go down, but I think they will take some time to get back to they level of the past few seasons.
Think I read somewhere that OH turned down Sunderland/Burnley/Leeds as didn't want another relegation battle... |
