Having signed a bumper contract last summer (£6m per year), I'd have thought the compensation another club would have to pay would be too rich to release him from his contract, especially one outside of the top 6? Compensation was £4m when he was on £1.2m per year and he now earns 5x as much...
Surely they'd just find another talent from abroad..?

Doesn't matter anyway, as Wolves haven't had a dip in form and we haven't been able to win a game this year yet.
Seems very lenient, considering its his second offense this season. FA obviously don't want to run the risk of us starting to pick up points and Wolves losing form without Cunha.. (joking). |

I really do feel that Townsend has earnt a shot at a start. Davis coming on late on in the game and running at a tired defence and playing balls through to fresh attackers makes sense to me.
BUT I'm not McKenna and in McKenna we trust. Still believe we are on for the great escape. |

Stay up, without question.
Get another year of PL money, build the squad and potentially higher chance of retaining KM (opposed to him being a Cup Winner with the current caliber of our squad - highly desirable).
We need to establish ourselves at the top level and the opportunities to win the cup will present themselves more readily with time. A one off fluke of a FA Cup win will not serve us us in the long term, with the exception of another star on the shirt and, admittedly, some amazing memories. |

Completely agree. For this match, I'd think that a solid defence will be key, Spuds play attacking football. They are shakey at the back, and with the likes of Delap, Hutch, Broady, et al, at our disposal I wouldn't rule out a goal from a counter.
In all honesty, (and at the risk of sounding like a Burnley fan) I'd rather defend like hell and get a point (like at Villa) than gamble on a win and get nothing. We can't expect to equal or overturn a deficit every game like we did in the championship. Every point counts when you are at the bottom of the table. If we can limit the defensive errors, there is 2-6 points up for grabs from these games against Spuds and Man U. |

Putting my personal views on the whole inheritance tax debate aside, I don't understand the logic in annoying the people you are trying to get on-side..
Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil tried it and (IMO) alienated the majority of the public, who now just think they are irritating berks. May have worked historically but I can't see these tactics working in the society we live in today.
If anything, the climate change activists were more likely to be supported as their protests are for a (largely) selfless cause. |
