Having stood and watched from the chicken run for donkeys but it was always dry as it had a roof. I stood in the open end at Chelsea and watched Town win 3-2 away. Didnt notice the rain at all. Its all about a good show on the pitch and tannoys are things for the present generation that never stand in the rain and snow to support their team. We had the same sponsor discussion with cigarettes and alchochol like Marlborough and Cobbold beer? Be careful what you wish for? |

1973 FA Youth Cup Final beat Bristol City and we watched George in the ITFC youth team at Bristol. I invaded the pitch at the end and had my blue and white scarf stolen by an eight year old kid from Bristol. Wont forget it in a hurry. George has been around the town for over FIFTY years although he did a short stint as a successful manager. Bring him on TownTV again.......... |
