I've just watched that video. I do believe they put Chambers in the same sentence/category as Mills and Butcher! FCUK OFF. |
 | News Comment | Rowe: I Wasn’t in a Great Place the Way Things Were at 09:17:12
I'm not saying that Paul Hurst was great but he is not solely responsible for us going down last season and he did not set us back years. The club was so utterly stale when he came in, he faced an enormous challenge to turn things around. He wasn't up to it. He had enough about him to realise that things needed to be shaken up though, and he tried to do just that. He just wasn't up to it. He blew away some of the cobwebs though and laid the groundwork for the next manager to come in and start from scratch. Paul Lambert arrived and everything was in place to start turning things around. Would things be different now if Lambert had come in straight after Mick? Could anybody really have turned things round at that point? We will never know. No point in dwelling too much on what went wrong last season. Things are on the up again now and that's the most important thing. Long may it continue, and with players like Danny Rowe continuing to play to their potential - as he did on Tuesday night. |
 | News Comment | Judge Confirmed in Ireland Squad at 12:30:07
Do the bookies give odds on players picking up injuries in games like this, or do you have to do a ‘request a bet' type of thing? He is just about back to being fully fit after the broken wrist which he got playing for Ireland... just wondered what the odds are on him picking up another random injury whilst he is away this time? |
 | News Comment | Lambert: We Were Relentless in the Second Half at 08:55:51
Dozzell has the ability to pick a pass, for sure. He is still very much a work in progress though and needs to be given time. Playing him and Mizouni together was possibly a little unfair but hopefully they will have both learned something. If I was scout watching Town at the moment then there's only one young man that I'd be talking about and that's Flynn Downes. |

Is he fit? Is he Match fit? Has he done any pre season training? Good signing if so. |
 | News Comment | Updated: McGreal Confirms Fee Agreed for Vincent-Young at 16:24:13
He would not have been free last year. Compensation would have been due, and with us being a Championship side then it would have almost certainly been 500k if not more. We are a league lower than we were last year, and he has a lot more experience than he did 12 months ago. Both factors to suggest that he would be a much better fit now than he was then. Let's just hope that the deal gets done. And then support the lad and give him a chance to impress us on the field. |
 | News Comment | Garbutt: Win Gives Us Confidence Ahead of Sunderland at 11:23:15
Pretty sure it was Danny Rowe's goal myself but I guess it doesn't really matter in the slightest. Hopefully Garbutt will have a good season for us, and then potentially be happy to sign for us permanently? He would be free, so we could afford him. |
 | News Comment | Trialist Wilson Set to Sign at 13:51:28
I'm sure this guy has something to offer, otherwise he wouldn't have passed the trial stage. Those that saw the recent friendlies seem to thing he looked OK. However. We now have 4 recognised centre backs and they are all right sided players. Whatever happened to trying to get some balance? |
 | News Comment | Judge Could Return as Blues Face Cambridge in Final Friendly at 11:20:23
Wes Hoolahan is 37 years old now brian, that explains why he has dropped down to League2. At that age he certainly won't have the legs anymore but that doesn't mean he won't have the ability. The thing about this, for me, is that it demonstrates the fact that players are happy to drop down the leagues as they age, because they just want to carry on playing. There MUST be some decent (older) centre halves out there that would be delighted with the opportunity to play for a League1 side like us... so why haven't we been able to find one? |
 | News Comment | Bishop Out for Three Months, Nsiala and Lankester to Miss Start of Season at 17:30:30
Who was the last player we ever had that recovered from a serious injury and then went on to play consistently for the club? Not a trick question, I am genuinely curious? Are we doing something wrong on this front? Will Huws play a significant role for the club - all season? Will Freddie make it back? |
 | News Comment | Town Announce Squad Numbers at 16:03:42
Definitely the area we need to strengthen, in my opinion. We have a young squad, full of potential. We just need a couple of experienced heads to give the team a solid spine... Oh for a mogga and a veno. |
 | News Comment | Former Lincoln Defender Wilson Training With Blues at 16:43:53
Another right sided central defender. Although he sounds like he once had potential, I'm not so sure that this guy sounds as promising as the lad from Bury? However, this guy has had his foot in the door so he is probably closer to actually signing. I was hoping that we would go back for Tilt this year, as I believe he is a free agent now? I guess I'm just a dreamer though? |
 | News Comment | Former Bury Defender Thompson Linked at 13:12:51
Sounds like a good potential replacement for Chambers. What we really need though is a replacement for Berra. When are we going to address the fact that we never replaced him? We never would have had this problem if we had gotten rid of the Dino a year earlier. We would still have Tommy Smith. |
 | News Comment | Knudsen: Thank You and All the Best for the Future at 08:13:44
Not a particularly good full back and definitely not any good as a wing back, better as part of a back three. Not very good with the ball at his feet. Particularly poor with his long throws. How he ever made it onto the world stage I will never know? And how that changed his own opinion of himself was quite sad to see. No great loss to us going forward. |
 | News Comment | Sears Making Good Progress at 20:17:37
It will be like making a key signing in the January transfer window when Freddie returns to full fitness. Could be just what we need to continue our push for promotion and then, all being well, we can give him another contract in the summer. |
