 | News Comment | Bru Close to Agreeing New Deal at 15:04:34
This for me is the best thing that could have happened to us this January. Bru is technically (In my opinion) the best player on our team and I thought that in both Southampton games he could have easily slotted in the Southampton line up. He needs experience and more coaching like every player but the way he can put in a good cross and keeps possession, I have no doubt that premier teams will be sniffing around by the end of this season. On top of this he's even doing a bit of dirty work! It's good because every midfielder we have has been playing brilliant but this has been keeping Bru out the team, I really hope he has a great game today like I thought he did at the Southampton games and keeps his place in the starting XI. |

Absolutely delighted for Bru and N.Hunt to get a start, I love how even with illness and injuries and everything this is still a very strong team! Shame about Ambrose but maybe he's still a bit tired from Southampton game, there's probably a reason behind him not starting and he has been fantastic. COYB!!! |

Also, who's to say we can't spend some money this transfer window? Obviously a loan would be ideal as it means spending no money, but why not gamble on spending some money on the likes of Wells or another striker? Reason being, if we do gamble on spending money on a striker and if the worst comes to the worst and we don't go up, we will be much more than re-inburst on the likes of Mings or maybe Bishops as regards to transfer speculation and if we do go up I'm sure the new signing would help in a number of ways to getting us to the prem, especially if he's down on a few years contract and they'll be there for next season's push and would have already been in with the squad, again if the worst comes to the worst of course. |

To be honest, whoever MM and TC bring in, I'm sure they'll bring the best out of them. They've proven this with McGoldrick and Murphs. They do their job so well (Especially with TC seeing as he is a forward specialist) at getting, lets be honest, average championship players to thrive. Murphs has been on loan with us for God knows how many seasons and yes done an alright job, McGoldrick came in on loan and signed permanently and both have found the net so many times under the reign of the current manager and coach when no one else in the league would have given them the chance. In my opinion, whether we get Wood, Doyle, Lingaard or whoever, I have full faith in the staff that they will get the best out of them. Lets not forget Bajner too, I know he hasn't been the most productive for us but against Southampton he look like he got a lot bigger and better, I'm not surprised if the staff have got him working 1 to 1 with Murphs, Bajner needs a hell of a lot of fitness and experiance before he can properly develop but who's to say he's not a blessing in disguise like Mings was with Cresswell? All in all, I have 100% faith and I will support whoever MM and TC bring in and I'm sure we will be back on track this weekend. COYB!!!!! |
 | News Comment | Hewitt In Mould of Fellow Welshman Bale at 23:29:08
Just seen on Twitter that Elliott Hewitt was talking to Tom Bender (Colchester United) and Tom said to him that reporters had rung him up on holiday asking if Ipswich will suit him and if he'll help Hewitt settle down south, Hewitt hasn't replied yet but surely even Clegg can't muck this up now |

Really pleased with this signing if it happens, more signings on the way please!! Definitely need to build for future but getting players in like this can probably make the step up this season if needed... |
