Are we filing this under the topic, things that didn't age well? I get we have not had the best history in cups, but this is a new look team under a new manager under new ownership. Let's not be quick to jump to conclusions based upon the past... |

Watching them at Sunderland, Charlton, last night. We don't win the headers, we don't have an attacking options. Last night you could see Walton getting stuck about who to pass it to as no one was moving and giving him options. The players look tired/uninspired. I always think we are playing against 15 or 16 as whenever we do get the ball and start moving forward the other team swarm us. Last night our best player was Norwood and he got subbed off. Jackson was MIA for most of the game. I don't know if anyone would want to join us now as a manager. What can we offer - owners who've shown they won't stand for poor results, players who look unfit and uninspired. We need consistency in selection. How can they play together if we are making 9 changes between games? I'm actually at a lost today and how we can move forward from now |

I used to work part time for a race team. I was driving to Spa in Belgium to meet the team. It was during a strike by the French dock workers so operation stack was in operation. Added 45 minutes to the drive to the tunnel (I lived down south back then too) so near enough doubled the drive to the tunnel. I was then motoring along the E42 despite my sat nav saying to get off the motorway (me being me knew better than a sat nav that got live traffic updates), came round the corner and then was stationary for 4 hours. Ended up getting to the track at midnight, having to creep in to our truck where we were sleeping and having 4 hours sleep before getting up and working all day. |
