It's difficult to know what's going on. But surely they wouldn't be approaching us now if he hadn't given them indications that he would be open to staying there permanently. As others have said he may very well have a future with us if we go down. So, if we stay up he'll probably go for free (with my thanks and best wishes) and if we go down he'll have more decisions to make. |
