I've read the team at ITFC looks at character, team fit, emotional maturity , social media profile, family, before going after any player. Look at those we've entertained and brought in. All part of the team quickly, just seem all great lads, well rounded, no massive slefish ego's, just all round role models who are performing well together. A great job. Made me wonder about Brandon Williams. He didnt last long did he. I forget, was he injured or just out of favour. I think i saw he was our highest paid player. Then he got himself a drink driving charge. Was he dropped for attitude? |
![](/images/avatars/23659.gif) | Forum Thread | What about Moore? at 18:25 1 Jul 2024
7 goals in 18 appearances....6ft 4.... so whats not to like? He proved himself. Why aren't we going after him? Arguments I have heard so far "not proven at the premier league level"- and Hutchinson is? (11 goals in 50 appearances. Not saying we shouldn't have signed him, just comparing his record to Moore's) both players were from Premier league teams, neither getting 1st team games "he's too old" - then won't we get him for less? aka experienced? "we want our forward line to all be midgets" I would enjoy a comparison of the height of Premier league defenders versus championship defenders. I'd wager premier leauge is taller. |

Back in 1998 /1999 I was part of a email based message board that would fly emails off to the whole group, when you sent one to it. We even ended up playing for an Ipswich team in a real tournament of message board supporters groups, somewhere. In those days not many people had email but I was living in Scotland so it was my only way to keep in touch with Town news. I do remember one member had a website called www.sickasaparrot.co.uk |

Goal difference now 8. A few hefty wins from the town, that could be worth a point. They only have one game to play. If we , say beat Huddersfield 5-0..... |

the aforementioned football association news site is very reliable for pretty much all games in all leagues. I have it in my favorites and it very rarely lets me down when I want to watch a game. With my mega fast fiber home internet Tomorrow I'll probably have 8 games going at one time, for the 3pm kick offs. Who'd a thought it, back in the day, when I had to sit watching the BBC news site, constantly refreshing |

"They are using it if you take a slightly bigger boot size" than the defender IF you are a big club with all the money, all the power and influence who will get the big TV audiences if the FA cup final is a Manchester Derby. If it had been a Man U goal denying Coventry then the referees line would be "we only use VAR for clear and obvious errors". Refs are corrupt and do what is in the interest of the money men, whenever they can get away with it |

VAR always seems to dig the big teams out of a hole at the last second. These clearly bent,m referees used to have to tack on unexplainable minutes of injury time, aka "fergietime", now they have VAR at their disposal to provide the necessary service to their corporate paymasters. The Coventry decision, seems to be a justification for reaching out to counsel if a legal route is available ( i doubt it is or someone else would have done it before) |

If my calculations are correct, Middlesbrough have got no chance of getting in the play offs. 9 points off, 3 games to go, inferior goal difference, need Norwich to lose all their games and for Hull and Coventry to blow it big time too. I doubt they will up much of a fight. I'll save my energy cheering for Norwich so Hull and Coventry are also with nothing to play for. |
![](/images/avatars/23659.gif) | Forum Reply | And that is why at 18:41 21 Apr 2024
Don't care. I do care that they had to play extra time and had their souls shattered. Now they have got to play on Wednesday, then on Saturday and hopefully will lose both games, because of the aforementioned extra time and disappointment, by which time they will be no longer play off contenders and the manager fields a weakened slide and backs off the gas a little to avoid injuries. Excellent...... |

Southampton , Leeds and Leicester won't get all the points in the games they have before the Hull visit. They literally can't. We will be well in the mix by then and all we will have to do is get some points. -Booourns and Hirst will be back -Everyone else will be well rested -Hull will be out of play off contention -Hull will be knackered -same goes for Coventry the following game -Huddersfield will be relegated and if not a) we are at home b) they are crap Simples, Premier league here we come. |

Leeds got one back This shows how hard these teams on the fringes of the playoffs are to beat. Hull, Middlesbrough, Coventry...3 teams we face in our next 5 games.... |

"What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride" Love it! |
![](/images/avatars/23659.gif) | Forum Reply | This is a great stat - points since Moore's full debut at 15:29 29 Mar 2024
NthSuffolkblue has a good point. Defenders are so busy worrying about Moore, it creates chances for other players. Either way, it creates goals. He is a great player, either they freeze him out and we win because they are distracted or they don't and we win. Moore the big fella FTW |
