How exactly does Mowbray get in if you’ve got to have played 3 seasons in the current millennium? Total legend but only played half a season. Marcus stewart featured in 4 seasons incidentally . And where are Macauley and De Vos? Jackson was actually very well liked by the end but no one realistically sees a player who was was rarely a regular pick in the first 11 to be in the top 25 here surely? I can’t recall if Kelvin Davis is in the original list but he is a certain pick too.
Jimmy Leadbetter - fair point - he deserves to be in along with Elsworthy as mentioned by Phil - although they can’t both come in on the left of midfield ? And Clive Woods was very good too from what I gather. As for Clapham, he was superb but Taricco and McCall were even better. Ipswich have had a ton of superb left backs - indeed the current one is uncapped and pretty brilliant too! As for Dalian, yes room for him on the bench. As for Johnson, I think he might’ve played a friendly for Jamaica but not sure. As for Brennan, yep maybe room on bench too.
Yep - surprisingly it’s at 19.30 not 7.30am. And just to clarify, the 3 o’clock kick offs are all at 15.00 ….although with Sky I wouldn’t rule anything out!!
So the rules are entirely based on which country they represented. So that rules out viljoen and I think d^array as well as zondervan. I wasn't sure re Roy Bailey. Baker is in top 15 all time town scorers so must have been good!
Sorry Phil but whilst you're right about the debut v Liverpool, the next game was Soton at home where Armstrong thought he'd scored twice but one was changed to a Bridge own goal. They goals away at Boro were later in the seaon
I heard them and they were definitely aimed at the time wasting begonia when he turned to clap the town fans but there were only a few boos and it was good that begonia remembers his brief stay. Aluko probably unaware of reason for the boos.
Let’s be clear: 1. The club is in a much better position in terms of how it’s run but fans are allowed to criticise Ashton when something does go well just as not everything marcus evans did was poor. Ashton demands performance from everyone including himself and they’ve clearly not achieved what they’d expected. 2. Ashton clearly stated several weeks ago that they were looking to add 2 to 3 more players and were advanced on 2 of them. These potential deals have clearly fallen through a long time ago now and they’ve been unsuccessful up to start of this week in terms of anyone else they’ve bid for. Those quotes clearly show that anyone who thinks we’re still waiting on our original first choice targets for permanent transfers is dreaming. 3. Given the club have rightly been clear that we still need to strengthen, people can say they’ve failed up to now. That doesn’t mean the club isn’t well run, it is well run. 4. Rumours of a signing re Williams - hopefully true as we still need more quality.
