 | News Comment | Aston Villa 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:40:44
Solid performance all around and Palmer is the calming influence that we've been looking for between the pipes. Johnston weirdly got better when Tuanzebe went off!...Omari is relentless with the press, i really like Cajuste and Phillips together and i think they will get better....and hats off to Townsend who gives us a little more defiensive reliabilty than Leif. Lots of good stuff to take from today.! Onward! |
 | News Comment | Delap: I'm Just Focused on Ipswich at 17:47:02
Speculation that Delap is leaving is cheap, clickbait journalism (if it can be called that)...gotta get paid so let's make sh*t up! Ashton and McKenna must chuckle at the ridiculousness of these rumours. You'll notice it's only the big clubs, and for some reason there's a tone to the articles that assumes the big clubs can just get what they want. It's nonsense and gibberish and world class ridiculousness! Imagine Salah in his prime with Liverpool......they would NEVER have considered something like this. No club would have any interest in selling an asset that it's in it's ascendency, when they are trying to compete, when they have momentum.......it's would crater the mood in the dressing room and guarantee relegation if we did that. Granted, in the highly unlikely event that Town get relegated, i wouldn't expect Delap to stay, and we would get a healthy return on our investment. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: We've No Interest in Selling Delap and He Has No Interest in Going Anywhere Else at 18:12:53
Can't imagine that Ashton or McKenna have even discussed this with any actual serious consideration This is counter to everything that Mark and Keiran have been preaching and it would do 2 things; 1. Destablize the entire team and kill our current momentum by creating uncertainty about each players role 2. Guarantee relegation, at which time most of the squad will have to be sold These investments are long term plays....Delap will leave in several years or longer when Town are established as a Premiership club, and they have the resources and depth, but now is not the time. Onward! |
 | News Comment | McKenna: First Win Would Be a Big Boost But It's About Trusting the Process at 18:26:19
Totally right....it's ALL about the process, it's not just for the players, but the fans too! The victories will come. The right process, and buy in from all the players will mean we DO stay up this year and then we continue to develop and build upon this extraordinary foundation and momentum to build a bigger, deeper, versatile squad with resiliency for the long haul. Ashton has shown us how to build a winning organization from top to bottom, soup to nuts....and McKenna has shown us how to build a winning team...all the pieces are there...! The Premier League is where we belong! |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Up and Down Game, We Know Saturday Will Be Hard-Fought at 17:26:10
So i assume we are going up...and with that, i'm fancinated to see how Ashton and McKenna are going to continue to develop and add to the team. Far too many teams comeright back down, and i hope that we don't go splash cash on fancy signings, but we are savvy, find young guys who are ready for the big time.....but have flown under the radar for what ever reason! Even with this squad i think we can complete pretty well, hopeful that we will be up for the long haul. I can't imagine that Ashton or MacKenna would be thinking otherwise! CYOB |
 | News Comment | Whymark's Son Raising Funds For Alzheimer's Charity at 17:03:14
Whymark was my fav player, and I always wore 10. My Whymark highlight was being at Portman Road when he scored 4 against West Brom, Mariner's first home game. 3 days after my 11th birthday. Legend! |
