 | News Comment | Ashton: We Need Answers, Howard Webb to Meet Us at Portman Road This Week at 22:42:03
McKenna is staying. He’s the best thing to happen to the club for years. I support him and the team 100%! Don’t understand people who think otherwise. Mark Ashton is also a breath of fresh air. The referee on Saturday was shocking and not just for the big decisions. Jamie Vardy, was up to his old tricks but didn’t get booked. Leicester’s goal, from where I was at, looked to have a number of fouls committed by Leicester during the play, right up to the goal being scored. ThenLeicesters manager, postmatch, says they were the better side and should’ve won. Absolute *****! |
 | News Comment | McKenna Linked With Manchester United at 12:53:56
I know I'm a Town fan but look at it from a neutral POV. ITFC - good club management, good team management, financial backing, upcoming team (McKenna's team) and a chance to make history. The only negative is KM will have to strengthen meaning some of this year's team will move on. MUFC - IMHO have problems that are to the core of the club. They've had some good managers since SAF and all have been disappointing (no Prem title). Players are some of the best but looks like they have no structure or a real plan on the pitch. Some have no desire. Egos? Club management is shocking. No investment in the stadium in years, seem to collect players at random, and they have problems. The only positive, it is a big club (probably the biggest). What a task to take on. |

Gavin Johnson! Wow! Wark crosses the ball from the wing, Gavin with the bullet header past Grobbelaar, and Andy Grey shouts, "PICK THAT ONE OUT!" Happy days! For my sins, I went to Uni in Scotland. I went to see Dunfermline v Dundee Utd in 98/99 with some mates. Gavin Johnson was playing for Dunfermline and Alex Mathie up front for United. I think Terry Butcher was even Dundee's manager at the time. For me, it was an Ipswich reunion match. Mathie even scored a goal. |
 | Blog Comment | The ITFC Crest: time for an update? at 14:58:38
I believe we should keep the design as is. It is unique. What I would change is the colour scheme. I would revert back to yellow, white and blue. Then on the kits, I would make it larger. The modern kits have tiny little badges. I want to see a larger crest that shouts Ipswich Town. |
 | News Comment | Cook: One of the Toughest Days I've Had in Management at 11:41:18
I'm not old but I remember a time when all fans got behind the team and supported their club through thick and thin. Success is never guaranteed, was not and is still not instant. That is why success is so sweet. This isn't a computer game, an app that fixes everything in an instant or a 30 minute Botox treatment. This is real life! It will be painful, it will take more time than we would like and we will have poor days. Players do not need verbal abuse because they don't meet your expectations; shaped by watching the like of Man City and Ronaldo. Get behind the team, they are real people who need support and encouragement. Trust the team, Cook and the club to do their jobs. We are in a better place today, as a club, than we were a year ago. |
 | News Comment | Ashton: There Feels a Distance Between the Fans and the Club at 10:16:24
I watched it online. My main questions would have been: 1. How to get back a winning mentality and mental toughness 2. Fitness - needs a big improvement 3. Nutrition 4. Training ground - what improvements are planned, facilities, etc. Some were addressed and I liked what I heard. |
 | News Comment | Johnson: We’re Keeping About 10 Per Cent of the Squad at 12:43:00
We need a clearout. Over the past seasons, I have come to the conclusion the team was fragile. Where was the battling, the all-out attacks in the last 10 minutes to win the game? Nothing. The mental attitude of the team was shot. One nill down, after 10 minutes, and it was game over. We need a new team with a new attitude. Mental toughness. Desire to win. We need Magilton's passion and Butcher's battling. |

If you're a professional athlete is it your responsibility to be fit, eat well, rest and be prepared? |
 | News Comment | Cook: Gary's Disappointed With the Quality of Player We Have in the Building at 11:07:48
@floridaboy there is nobody in this squad worth keeping. Dozzell has had several seasons to prove himself and one good pass a game does not make a player. Fitness is something I've moaned about for a while. Good players/athletes are lean, fit and quick. We look like a pub side in comparison although most pub sides at least play with passion and we don't even have that. |
 | News Comment | Cook: I Will Be Like Demolition Man Over the Next Six Weeks at 10:53:36
I hope PC and the club will be respectful of the players, as he asserts in his statement. All came to Ipswich with the best intentions. Let those who are not part of the club's future depart on good terms and with our best wishes. |
 | News Comment | AFC Wimbledon 3-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 11:02:42
There is a real obvious issue, the players are indifferent, passionless, bereft of any desire to win. They're just playing the season out, trying to stay injury-free, probably fishing for another club next year. I hope Stockport have some gaps in their squad. |
