I only wish I was going on Saturday. I genuinely think this will be a game where shirts are swapped in the pubs, the atmosphere will be fantastic from start to finish and Sir Bobby's name will be sang loud and proud from every part of the ground. You might have to excuse a bit of abuse thrown at your current manager though lol It should be a genuine occasion though and everybody should enjoy it in a manner befitting the great man HTL |

I'm not wanting to hijack this thread but there has been some serious generalising of Newcastle fans in here. Bobby first and foremost was from the North East.....he was a footballing man and he brought the good times back to Newcastle (for a short period of time). There was quite strong feeling amongst the Newcastle fans at the time that Bobby had lost the dressing room with the likes of Bellamy and Dyer running amok. Ultimately is was missing out on CL football in his last full season that paved the way for his exit. Nobody is trying to trump your grief.......Gilesy, I would say that you are doing exactly what you are accusing the Newcastle fans of doing. Bobby was a great man and a well respected man..............Saturdays game should be about remembering him for the man he was, not about which fans have the right to be most upset. Remember aswell that you have to play at St James' and there is nothing I would like to see more than a sea of blue and white left in rememberance of the great man All the best.....a toon fan |
