Cressi... is that other than nearly 500 appearances for Wycombe in league two, league one and the championship. I'd say Matt Bloomfield had a fairly decent playing career! |
 | News Comment | Town Sign Rotherham Striker Ladapo at 18:18:59
Decent signing this. Fits the mould of the tall, athletic striker that Mckenna has mentioned he wants in his system. Decent goal return over the last couple of years! Free agent too, means more in the budget for our the worldy left sided player we are hopefully going to sign. Good start to the summer! |
 | News Comment | Former Blues Midfielder and Wycombe Legend Bloomfield Retires at 18:36:16
Linkboy13 - he already had his testimonial at Wycombe. Think it was around 8 years ago to mark his 10 years at the club. They played Jose Mourinhos Chelsea at Adams park. Would definitely agree that a Wycombe vs town game would be the perfect way to mark a brilliant career. |
 | News Comment | Cook: We Know We Have to Get Up to Speed, We Know We Have to Win Games at 06:49:18
Townthroughmyveins.. I am sorry, but your point regarding Cooks formation is utter garbage. He has a system and sticks to it. Most managers do! Look at Pep Guardiola, he doesn't even play with a striker most of the time and nobody says that his teams aren't attacking! On paper we play a 4-2-3-1 (which is by no means a defensive formation) but that formation changes through different phases, going forward with the full backs bombing on and leaving 2 back essentially means we are playing a 2-2-3-3. I have massive respect for what Mccarthy did for us but that was very much defensive then hoof ball and we all got bored of it. Hurst was just a write-off and Lambert wanted to play Barcelona style football with league two players on league one pitches.. was never going to work! Understandably, us fans have been crying out for better. And, finally we have a manager who has bought in lots of ATTACKING players and is trying to play exciting football. Already I am more entertained than I have been with the dross we have seen over the last few years. We look like scoring goals, we look shaky at the back but I am certain that will change given time and people staying fit. Give this team a chance to gel and it will click! In Cook we trust! COYB!! |
 | News Comment | Town Complete Barry Loan Signing at 20:05:28
People on here moaning about loan signings clearly DO NOT HAVE A CLUE about football. This is one incredibly highly rated young player who has the potential to be a future star in the Premier league and for his country. It is an absolute credit to the work the club are doing that they are able to bring in this sort of talent, be it a loan deal or not! Buzzing for tomorrow and can not wait to get back into Portman road to support our club! |
 | News Comment | Drinan Handed Full Debut as Blues Host Bristol Rovers in Season Opener at 16:26:44
Backing up Icantbelieveyousaidt's point.. Read the article!! KVY and donacien are out.. so your 2 natural right backs are out. The only other 2 options in that position would be Wilson or Edwards.. Chambers is far more experienced in the right back position than the other two.. makes sense to pick him. Stop moaning for the sake of moaning and back your team! |
 | News Comment | Palace Again Linked With £4m Downes at 11:43:29
Think most of you need to take a bit of a reality check I'm afraid. Flynn is a cracking player with great potential, but unfortunately in todays climate and the position the club finds themselves in. They would have to seriously think about an offer of 4 million. I would hate to see him go as he was by far our best player last season, would not surprise me at all if they do sell him though |
