I’m not sure why he does, as I’ve said he consistently fights who he should which can’t be said for others. |
 | Forum Reply | Beautiful from AJ at 11:16 13 Dec 2020
I didn’t know he had pushed for for 50/50 or read that anywhere, but if that being the case I’d be inclined to agree with you. I wouldn’t say he’s taken risks personally, he’s just fought who he should when he should and that’s how it should be. Shame others didn’t do the same. |
 | Forum Reply | Beautiful from AJ at 10:35 13 Dec 2020
I don’t disagree with that at all. AJ is the draw all day long. But he pushed for 60-40 and didn’t get it. Was it greed? Did he deserve it? Did he push for more knowing he wouldn’t get it to duck? Who honestly knows. If you look now they’re paying 50/50 against Fury if it happens. It’s got the Battle of Britain element to it and Fury’s popularity but I think there was appetite to pay Wilder the 60/40 back then. Unfortunately money ruins the division these days I think we can both agree on that. They lowballed Whyte when they wanted him to step in and same with Ortiz. Me personally I think they should have taken their chances but end of the day you can understand people trying to get as much as they can. It’s the fight of your life and the only real big pay day out there. Back in the day they fought anyone and everyone, now there’s a lot of protecting image and treating it like a business. I haven’t commented on the AJ performance but there’s nothing you can say but a good win for him. Seen people saying he was trapped between styles but it was a change of plan against a good fighter in Pulev. Good amateur pedigree and knows how to box. Yes there are weird levels they are both held too and going around the houses like people do comparing their fights vs Klitschko is pointless. Different styles, different fights and different nights etc. Only one person with AJs record and he’s fought the best he can. |

I think you’re getting me confused with the other posters as you keep defending Joshua to me like I’ve passed negative judgment about his performance or record? I haven’t. I just think you’re abit heavy handed in your argument against Fury dismissing someone like Wilder as a boxer when on his day he could knock anyone out. It might not be pretty but he’s dangerous whether he’s technically good or not. Again I’m not talking records here, just saying he’s as dangerous as any out there at the minute with what he’s got. Edit: Sorry didn’t reply regarding the ducking. He was offered a career high pay day, £8 million odd. But in the market if think you should earn more money for what would be one of the biggest fights ever then you are going to sit on it. If he wanted £15 million you would sit on it? Whether we think he deserves it or not. If he was offered more money he might well have taken it. It’s just stuff you’ll never know isn’t it? [Post edited 13 Dec 2020 10:04]

You’ll have to show me that, not seen it definitively proven. Not saying he did, not saying he didn’t either. I just tend to say away from who’s ducking who when there’s too many belts/councils in play making things harder. |
 | Forum Reply | Beautiful from AJ at 01:39 13 Dec 2020
Looks like you cherry pick what you reply to like some of these fighters doesn’t it? Getting side tracked from what I originally said and you’ve gone right off tangent. Just respect the game for what it is, different styles different fighters. Wilder was still a world champion which should be respected and could likely do damage to most in the top 10, regardless of how he does it. For the most part can’t disagree with the rest of what you said. |
 | Forum Reply | Beautiful from AJ at 01:27 13 Dec 2020
Not sure what that’s got to do with what I’m saying. The bloke gets in the ring to knock people out and that’s what he did. Can’t write him off because all he is is a right hand to suit your argument, when knocking people out is the aim of the game. Fighting fury would generate less money wouldn’t it? But fighting Joshua and not getting what you think you should is a different story isn’t it? I’m not getting into the who’s ducked who argument because I think it’s boring, no one knows the answers really do they? |
 | Forum Reply | Beautiful from AJ at 01:10 13 Dec 2020
You have to be reasonable here. Wilder might just be a ‘right hand’ but Fury still beat him when others didn’t. That wild right hand could have finished Joshua if they fought regardless of his poor boxing IQ. |

Yeah he had a great scrap with Povetkin didn’t he, can’t wait to eventually see more of him. I was thinking with all that’s gone on, AJ/Fury would be great for the nation wouldn’t it? Would be brilliant if they get it on toward the end of next year if safe to do so. I don’t think I’ll bother buying it personally, few years too late for me. Canelo/Smith I’ll buy though. Soon add up doesn’t it! |

If it is driven by Lambert, probably just doing things to push himself out the door as he wants out. Evans would probably keep him until next season otherwise. |

There was talk Dubois would be in with AJ or Usyk if he had come through this fight, depending on on what’s going on with AJ/Fury. Think he’s sitting around 2nd in the WBO rankings (somehow considering who he’s fought). Not sure who I see him in with next, maybe Michael Hunter someone like that. Absolutely, he’s made a big step up taking on Joyce and can only grow now after a defeat. |

Don’t get me wrong I thought early on he was going to put him away as I was watching too. Dubois is really accurate but then again Joyce don’t mind getting hit. No doubt Dubois will have a decent future, can only improve from here. Lot of positives always been out there for Joyce like comments about his performances in sparring and how hard he can actually hit. Like you say plenty put off by his age. I’m abit late to this but surprised people so heavily one sided in Dubois favour to be honest. Too drawn in to that knock out power he has. In all fairness Joyce is easily the better boxer and although certainly not world beaters, has fought better fighters and he’s incredibly tough. Not at all surprised he’s won there. |
 | Forum Reply | If the next 2 games are lost, Lambert MUST go. at 23:15 22 Nov 2020
He’s definitely gone if we are mid table at Christmas IMO. If we are in the playoffs he stays, got no real justification to let him go if we are still in the hunt. There’s a perception we should p!ss this league and I think it’s just tougher than people realise. We never got close to being a side like Coventry last season and certainly look nothing like Peterborough this season (who will likely run away with it). |

No chance, could still be sitting in the playoffs even if we lost next 2 depending on other results. Looking at the games on the lead of the Christmas it’s tough. Hull, Charlton, Portsmouth and Peterborough to name a few. Even Plymouth will be a tough game if we play like yesterday. Can see him out around December. |
 | Forum Thread | iPhone Question at 18:50 18 Nov 2020
I broke my iPhone and went to set up an old one in the draw until the insurance replacement arrives. For some reason I didn't know what the passcode was for it and expected it to allow me to reset it by entering my iCloud password for example, but it didn't. I googled the solution and I was able to factory reset the phone my plugging it into my laptop. Did not ask for any passwords, just updated it and it was unlocked. Surely this cannot be right as you could essentially have anyones phone with a passcode and unlock it? I can't believe it was that easy? |

If Villa cement themselves as a top half side over the next few years, no reason why he couldn't stay and thrive you're right. I think a player like him does need to see some CL football in his career though for sure. Just to see him mix it with top players and see how he performs. I can't see him having any issues stepping up and think he can only get better. |
 | Forum Reply | Grealish at 22:50 15 Nov 2020
Where do you think he would go/fit? Don't see him at Man City or Liverpool personally. I think Spurs would be a good shout for him. |
