Ex-Walsall Defender Guthrie Training With Blues
at 22:25:55

The big question for me is how has Guthrie trained any differently than Wilson if both had contracts expire at the same time and neither has had a club since.

Wouldn’t mind Guthrie either as a League One hardened left sided centre back but won’t that be the same issue in terms of match fitness?

Former Lincoln Defender Wilson Training With Blues
at 17:18:47

Lots of superb bed wetting over a player who may likely be FIFTH choice centre back.

At what level do you think we'd be able to realistically get a fifth choice centre back?

Too high a level and they'll want to be starters. From our level they'll want decent money for the league.

This is a cheap guy who has experience in the leagues, can provide cover for the first few weeks alongside Woolfenden or Ndaba and then won't be seen again when everyone is fit.

This is the sort of signing you make when you have two experienced defenders and two promising kids to back them up.

Town Grouped With Colchester and Gillingham in EFL Trophy
at 15:56:11

ITFCsince73

You would be close to having a point if it wasn't for the fact this competition ended in February and both Pompey and Sunderland were right in the automatic mix at that time.

They dropped away after that, not as a result of games in hand either, as they put together some poor results after they'd caught up.

Bialkowski Close to Millwall Move
at 13:18:05

Perfect move for him really.

His family won't need to relocate.

He will be at a club that will allow him to showcase his talents and make a real difference to their fortunes.

He will earn the wages he is capable of earning.

He will still have a chance of getting in or around the Poland squad.

Plus it'll be good for some of the Millwall fans to be educated that some Polish people are actually extremely nice.

Disability Liaison Officer Duff Dies

I don't think I have ever heard of a single ITFC fan that went to him with an issue that he didn't resolve above and beyond what they had expected.

RIP.

El Mizouni in Full Tunisia Squad
at 12:47:47

Well done Idris.

I actually think he will end up being a standout player next season. Just seems to be one of those who develops really quickly in a short space of time.

Lankester likewise, so may be tricky fitting them both in with Judge and the rest, but if he gets a few games I fancy that he will really step to being a good League 1 player at least.

Not the boldest prediction ever for a player about to potentially win a cap for a half decent national team at only 18, admittedly.

Hurst: Too Early to Make a Decision on Jonas
at 16:47:41

What you need to bear in mind that Jonas has just returned from a world cup, reportedly had Villa, Boro and Stoke looking at him and is not going to settle for anything less than being one of the top 2 or 3 earners at the club.

Do his performances in a Town shirt justify that? Possibly not. He's a decent player but not one worth breaking the bank for. Hurst is absolutely right to wait and allow Jonas to either be a player worth pushing the boat out for or proving himself to be someone we can replace at a much lower wage than he will demand.

We cannot be held to ransom, Jonas' stock is high and his agent will ensure that they use other clubs interest to look for a deal that may not work for ITFC as a business. He's nowhere near, performance wise, to the contract he's likely to be asking now.

McCarthy: Fans Waited to Throw Bottles at Me at Brentford
at 09:21:49

Did this really happen?

I didn't see a single person mention this on TWTD. Lots of fans, myself included, heard some really disgusting and absurd chants aimed at McCarthy that day from a group of about 6 kids.

But Town fans actually trying to throw bottles at McCarthy?

This just sounds like Town fans having a beer at one of the many pubs at Brentford and somebody from the club deciding not to risk it. Even McCarthy said it could have been one fan.

Very annoyed with this. We've already seen the national narrative of us driving out a wonderful. overachieving manager and all round good egg. Now we are going to be accused of having a load of blokes standing by a door shouting for McCarthy to come out so they can 'do him'.

I very much doubt anybody made a serious threat against Mick and this is the sort of story that will stick.
