 | Forum Reply | Anyone got any hot tips for Achilles Insertional Tendonitis? at 15:43 19 Apr 2025
Diet. I used to have horrible achilles tendonitis, but amazingly it all cleared up. Read about Novak Djokovic's anti inflammatory diet...cutting out gluten, dairy, coffee, beer (all the good stuff unfortunately), but my god, it's worked wonders. Body feels as good as ever, years of achilles problem gone ! Doing several 10km plus runs a week with ease. Went down the route of physio etc, it's terribly hit and miss and expensive. Reducing inflammation in your body is the key to healing. [Post edited 19 Apr 15:44]

No, he's right. The majority of your posts are inflammatory and, often, downright rude. It makes you come across as thoroughly obnoxious. |
 | Forum Reply | Do we need another striker!? at 02:53 25 Aug 2024
Agreed, he played on the right side of a front 3 most of the time at Hull and has the pace and running power to play that position well. If Broja comes in next week, that's where i think we'll see Delap. |
 | Forum Reply | Thought Luongo was bypassed today at 02:51 25 Aug 2024
I tend to agree with the OP. I think he'd be a good player to bring off the bench in winning positions though. Makes a huge number of interceptions and blocks. McKenna has done the right thing in these opening 2 games, he's placed trust in those who have got us here. However, what we're probably seeing now is the next phase of this Ipswich Town side, just like we saw when we moved up from League One. That's football. |
 | Forum Reply | Sarmiento and Stansfield at 19:36 5 Jul 2024
As already mentioned in the thread, Stansfield is neat and tidy, but i don't think he possesses any individual qualities that make him Premier League. Sarmiento would be a good player to have on the bench. He blows a bit hot & cold at times and needs to work on his ball retention, but he can create moments of magic that win games. I have a feeling we might be targeting a higher level of loan player though. Realistically, we are a very inviting proposition, away from the bright lights of the city, garanteed minutes and the McKenna development factor ! |

To be honest, I thought he was a little aggressive and confrontational as a poster. Undoubtedly, a highly strung guy. While a good debate is healthy, the way in which he did it came across as rather condescending at times. [Post edited 2 Jul 2024 13:11]

Yeah, that's rubbish. 20m for one of the best, young upcoming talents in Europe is an absolute deal. With a good season in the Premiership, his value is likely to increase beyond 30m. Under the guidance of McKenna, Hutchinson still has an incredibly long run way in terms of his development. |
 | Forum Reply | If mckenna leaves can we admit that he just used us ?? at 03:48 21 May 2024
What a ridiculous post. What he achieved last season was nothing short of a miracle and we should be thankful for the time and effort that he has put into this club to get it back into the promised land. It's a job and his career and we'd be naive to assume that Brighton is a sideways step when they are much further down the line in their Premiership journey and we will never be as big (in this lifetime) as the likes of Manchester Utd. |

I'd move on players who have consistently been on the periphery this season : Ladapo, Donacien, Ball, Camara, Ahadme and Jackson. Discussions would also have to take place with Walton and Harness, as to whether they prefer regular first team football or playing a bit part in the Premiership. Baggott, Humphreys and El Mizouni are all worth keeping, as they have significant potential and we need to find Championship loan moves for them to further accelerate their development. All 3 could provide a nice buffer, if we don't survive our first season up. Tuanzebe and Hladky should definitely have their contracts renewed. I think (and fully agree) that we'll see 4-5 players through the door, as opposed to 'Nottingham Forrest' style sweeping changes. Shrewd and tactical recruitment is the name of the game...similiar transfers to Davis, but at a higher price point and with even greater upscale. [Post edited 9 May 2024 8:14]

 | Forum Reply | Players you really misjudged at 01:50 3 May 2024
Not too sure who represents him, but he's made some truly bizarre career decisions over the past 2 years. I'm sure there is a great sense of regret from him, as he now looks at our league position. |
 | Forum Reply | Dane Scarlett at 01:30 3 May 2024
Maybe, if we were to take ownership and then loan him out. He'd be a total punt though. I think he's a bit of Troy Parrott Mk2. Plenty of hype, but ultimately a player that is neither a 10 nor an out and out striker, that doesn't net enough to justify playing in the top 2 leagues in this country. '''If'''we go up, we should be setting our sights a lot higher....Harwood-Bellis, Delap, Downes, Carvalho etc... [Post edited 3 May 2024 1:33]

 | Forum Reply | IF we do go up...What business needs to be done? at 09:31 2 May 2024
'If' we do go up, i think we will see a similar, strategic approach to recruitment. Young, plenty of potential, huge upscale value etc... You'd think that Hutchinson and Sarmiento could be brought back on loan, or maybe even signed. Hutchinson would probably set us back 15m though, I also think that we could also sweep up some of the top quality loanees that currently play in this division...Downes, Harwood-Bellis, Delap, Rodon, Carvalho but also take some talent of clubs that will inevitably need to cut their cloth e.g Walker-Peters from Southampton, Sara, Jack Clarke, Whittaker, perhaps Stansfield. However, you don't want to create a 'very good' Championship club in the Premier League. We will need to add a few seasoned pros that have played at the highest level. I suspect given McKenna's stock, we will be in pole position for top English and European clubs looking to send talent out on loans. |
 | Forum Reply | Let the gossip commence at 09:19 2 May 2024
You'd think 1 more point would put an end to any gossip like that. Brighton and Ipswich are similar clubs in terms of size, surrounding population, infrastructure etc..i'd be more concerned about a larger Premiership or Bundesliga club coming in for McKenna. With that said, i think McKenna probably quite likes the element of building something (which he has done) the sense of pride that brings. |

We have such exceptional off the pitch leaders and personalities at the club like McKenna and Morsy, that i have no doubt that the squads mind will be in exactly the right place tonight. It's not a question of ability, it's a question of belief now. |

Best jobs are overseas in international schools. You'll be on fantastic package, have your accomodation and utilities paid for, save over 2k a month and you'll teach fantastic kids. Keep it independent and keep it international. I'd never return to teach in the UK. |
 | Forum Thread | Fatigue an issue / Norwich thoughts at 04:03 7 Apr 2024
Obviously, a big dissapointment to not get anything out of the derby, but in the grand scheme of things, with Leeds losing, the only thing lost was the opportunity to put some distance between them and us. I thought yesterday was a game too far for many of our players, which is totally understandable given the intensity of McKenna's system and how hard some players have been pushing deep into added time recently. For me, Luongo, Morsy, Hutchinson and Moore all looked a little leggy, meaning we didn't really have that snap in midfield and were slow to get up the pitch, press and compete for second balls. The next 2 home games are absolutely massive. I'm sure we'll pack out Portman Road for these next 2 games, make some noise and get fully behind the team as always. If we can pick up 6 points, we 'could' be well set and i think the squad will benefit massively from the 14 day break before the Hull fixture, where the likes of Hirst and Burns may be back to bolster numbers. |
 | Forum Reply | I still feel saints will put out a weak team v leeds at 07:08 3 Apr 2024
The flip side of that is those fringe players will be desperate to impress and get into play off squads / potentially play at Wembley. Personally, i think things will be decided before that. We need to hope that Leicester keep imploding on and off the pitch. |
