And Bert, likewise I agree with what you say too. Have total sympathy with Darkhorse. As you (Bert) allude to, it is now all about this next generation creating a new passion and togetherness to replace the one that has now gone. The skill is more than what we had before definitely. But much will hinge on creating a new dressing room and on-field culture with leadership. If all goes well, we will all soon get over this (hopefully) short term grief. |

I remember feeling a bit like this as a child when John Wark left to join Liverpool in 1984. Some on here say no room for sentimentality and some dismiss those upset as "moaners". I am gutted. So if that makes me a moaner then I shall wear that title as a badge of honour. As for sentimentality, I'd rather that than feel nothing over something like this. |

Probably overthinking it but do wonder if he had hoped to join us permanently ahead of last season and is now bitter. Either way, I'm now glad he didn't join us permanently. |

Yep. Sorry, but there's an element of clutching at straws beginning to creep into KMcK's post match interviews now. It is true the team is in a state of flux but that mitigation can't go on forever. Some big signings still to bed in so it's see where we are end of September. Pressure is building. |

Welcome to ITFC Kasey. Hoping it all works out well. Will see how he gets on before deciding if this was a good signing or not. For me, jury still out on Ogbene and Philogene to. I don't think Jack Clarke is that bad either but hope all will thrive and fire us back to the Prem. Give em a chance please! |

Bye and thanks for the memories, OH. Best of luck for the future. Now can we put this episode behind us on this website and ITFC please can we meaningfully reinvest the proceeds of all the sales back into the squad ASAP. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: I'd Liked to Have Kept Broadhead at 16:49:51
Not sure about comparisons to 2002/03 precisely but I certainly agree things don't feel right anymore and as someone pointed out on another thread, the players don't look happy. I recall the advert going out about £100m in player values to potential investors. If all this transfer income is not available for reinvestment we could be in trouble again. But let's see i guess |

Well said BangaloreBlues. The tone on here is deteriorating with people seemingly unable to disagree in a friendly and respectable way. Very depressing. This also includes certain individuals who never post first, but always jump on someone who dares venture an opinion. Re your first paragraph, again I agree. But I don't think we can be surprised that OH may have alienated some fans by seemingly refusing to play. We don't know the full story but it's not a good look. But like you say, we should still give thanks for the memories and past efforts. |

I'm with you too Andy32. The desperation to stay in the Prem has perhaps come at the expense of that spirit which got us there from League 1. We have to hope that the undoubtedly higher skill set we now have will be added to and that that spirit brought by Morsy, Broady etc al can be replicated by the current squad. We'll need it. |
