Gates for League One
at 10:57 3 Mar 2019

I don't see ST sales being that bad for Division One. Some I have talked to are going to be ST holders next season who are not this. Obviously pricing will have a huge bearing on ST's and the casual attendee. But over all I see gates as similar to this season. The success or lack of might well have the biggest impact the following season.

Are Canaries Farked
at 09:27 14 Feb 2019

After being soften up by us on Sunday and a scoreline that in truth definitely wasn't a reflection of the game are the Budgies now on a downward path ? It made me laugh when I put a comment on EADT about our bad luck. What with losing 3-0 to the Budgies, Freddie getting injured and PL getting the red card and I said"Worst of all Bluey getting equine flu" and this guy who's regularly comments on EADT although he's a Budgie fan took it seriously. I think he had a part in "The wrong turn" if I'm not mistaken ?

Our Link to Godolphin
at 14:43 11 Feb 2019

I wonder if ITFC and our link to Godolphin has anything to do with our form this season. Seeing as there's a bad bout of Equine Flu going around. Perhaps it all started at PR.

Quaner and Keane
at 14:13 10 Feb 2019

Quaner and Keane add absolutely nothing to the forward line. Harrison outshone Keane by a mile. But when we are in Division One next season it is vital that we find a striker. Judging on what I saw I thought Knudsen played well as did Judge and Cholabah. But again we couldn't score and got caught on the break, which to an extent was because we were pushing forward. But I do think someone should have take Pukki out a few times. But if you let in stupid goals just after the start you are immediately on the back foot. You would have thought that training all week we would have been fired up from the start but it took 20 minutes before we started to play and then I felt we controlled the game. But yet again poor finishing and sloppy goals were our downfall.

ITFC not just about 78
at 10:47 3 Feb 2019

Let's get our facts right ITFC isn't just about 1978 or 1981. Great years though they were and great players. But over the years prior and since the glory years we have had teams to be proud of and some very decent players and very decent Managers. Now, well we don't really know. PL has done an excellent PR job and mended the wounds caused my MM. We still are yet to see a team to be proud of and one that those that have deserted PR want to return to. Division One won't help, in fact crowds will probably go backwards before and if they go forwards. But obviously that will depend on who we keep, who we get rid of and who we recruit. Sad times though.

Why not follow P&O
at 15:50 13 Jan 2019

The debate about ST against discounted casuals goes on. Why not introduce a similar system to that of P&O cruises. Every cruise you go on you get 10 points per day e.g.14 day cruise =140 points. Once you attain 1000 points you get a 5% discount, 1501 points a 7.5% discount and 2001 points you get a 10% discount. The points system could be held via the booking data base and discount applied to the next ticket after the points required to get each level of discount. P&O also once 2001 points are attained give a complimentary luncheon, 1/2 bottle of bubbly, Captains cocktail party and a Calendar at Christmas. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect that for attending 10 or 15 matches. But to give some incentive to those that don't purchase ST's whilst also looking after those that do.Maybe an ITFC calendar or player signed Christmas card.

Why Bart
at 09:39 3 Dec 2018

Why is it that so many posts blame Bart. He makes one mistake and it's his fault for the defeat. O.K. it doesn't help, but what about the fullbacks, the centre backs and the forward line, Freddie apart, who can't hit a barn door and probably miss a hat trick. At least we know with Bart that there's a great keeper in their, but some others have never proved themselves. As for the season if we are to do anything Stoke has to be the starting point, we definitely cannot wait another two or three games without any points.

Why's everyone talking about January ?
at 10:12 4 Nov 2018

If we don't soon get a couple of wins January will be irrelevant. Decent though they may have played yesterday we still couldn't put a team away that finished with 10 men. I feel that if the gap between us and the fourth from bottom gets much bigger than the current five points before the January window we will struggle. A majority of those immediately above us won yesterday. I think the big hope is with some of the injured players getting back a.s.a.p. I can see what PL is trying to do but finding a real striker out of what we have maybe impossible and we still aren't creating enough goal scoring opportunities and Preston were the better side when they went down to 10 men.

The trouble is
at 18:17 26 Oct 2018

Ipswich Town are in many ways like most other clubs. But in some completely different. How are we different ? Well, most importantly our history and in many ways this contributes to our downfall. Why ? because the fans are made up of those having seen enormous success for a small team and those that have unfortunately only seen failure. Therefore those that have seen the best and those that have seen the worst want more. Hence why McCarthy, whilst successful in some ways was never going to satisfy this yearning that we don't just want a team trundling along mid table with a point being better than going for three and we might lose. The Cobbolds knew it, Sheepshanks knew it. But sadly Marcus Evans doesn't and never will.

Norwich City v Ipswich Town.
at 14:37 24 Oct 2018

I watched the interview with Ed Balls with regard to Norwich City's £90 million profit. Listened to his words regarding how that club wants to be perceived and was envious. I've never liked the Budgies, but what a change from the motley crew that we have running our club. Gone are the eccentric days of the Cobbolds, Bobby Robson and as with Kevin Beattie some fantastic players. Yes, I know, not every players has been great, some have been downright useless. But at least they weren't useless all at the same time. I see Jordon Rhodes scored a couple last night. Yet another one we let slip through our fingers. I wonder what the reaction will be if we are relegated and Norwich get promoted. Just goes to show how good they are and how bad we have been. Let's hope it doesn't happen. But fear it might.

Marcus Evans
at 17:07 21 Oct 2018

We have had to endure several years of the Mick McCarthy reign and now we have Paul Hurst who to be fair to him everyone was crying out for. A new guy, attacking football. Not the same old, same old bland McCarthy style. But who's to blame for the current situation ? Hurst brought in his on players and dispensed with a handful of players who were somewhere between Championship and Premier League class. Hurst must accept a large slice of the blame, but as with anything there's always something or someone behind them. Namely Marcus Evans. He was content with McCarthy keeping us trundling along in the Championship without have to dip into his fortune. Now he has Hurst who made him a tidy sum by getting rid of all our best assets. The blame lies firmly with M.E. ITFC will continue to go down the Swanney as long as he's at the helm.
