As I've said before on other threads I've been a fan for nearly 40 years and can remember when we actually played proper football so I like most find our current style ridiculously frustrating!
I fear that under the current regime and lack of investment that the football is not going to improve anytime soon.
I'm not in the least surprised that season ticket renewals are down but when the club is in your blood what can you do?
I've renewed in the hope we can have a few less injuries next season, just maybe play a little better and be a bit more entertaining.
Well we can always hope anyway!!! |

I say it means ' Exceptionally Piss Poor Planning ' on his part!
Everyone saw on Tuesday that we won ugly and got the 3pts and could see the midfield wasn't working but he started the same team because we won, what a load of rubbish ! He's so tactically inept it's unbelievable.
Better stop there. |

I haven't read all the comments so far but what a complete load of utter dross!
On what planet does any manager that wants to win start a game with a midfield that doesn't have a bloody creative bone in their body between them!
Unbelievable that there was more positive play in the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half than in the whole of the 1st half put together.
I'll probably get banned from here if vent my current feelings towards MM, his style of play (or lack of) and possibly the ownership as well so I'll leave it at that. |

It's amazing how people see matches differently, I was at the game and we just sneaked the win in a game with very little quality between 2 average championship teams. Still not pretty to watch but a very welcome 3 points. |

I'm positive we ain't getting promoted!
God it's really depressing watching us get totally outplayed week after week and something needs to be done but I've absolutely no idea what because I, like most of us don't really know what's going on in ME's head as to where he really wants to take the club.
I think it's time for him to actually come out and tell us his plans, what do you all think? |

Rather bizarrely if we beat top the table Hull I'm sure everything will once again be rosy in the garden but there's something seriously wrong when Town (pretty much top 1/3rd of the table all season) are constantly outplayed by the allegedly poorer teams languishing in the lower reaches of the league.
I know we made a complete team change against Portsmouth to lose but that just proves our lack of strength in depth.
Poor football is all we are being asked to watch and I'm getting very frustrated when I was brought up seeing us play a sweet passing game.
It's hard work being a life long Town fan at the moment! |

Unfortunately I have to say things are definitely taking a turn in the wrong direction at the moment!
Early doors in the season we looked like we had pretty reasonable cover for most areas of the pitch but with a couple of departures and more than a couple of injuries we look stuffed at the moment.
No strength in depth and no decent signings (loan or permanent) makes me think we are going to struggle to get in the top six, let alone be a force in the playoffs.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love the lads to prove me wrong and get us promoted but how many on here can honestly say they believe we have the quality to achieve this?

In his statement MM says he's not in the market to sign mediocrity. Unfortunately with the vast majority of the squad ( with some notable exceptions ) that's exactly what he's got.
As the expression goes, you have to speculate to accumulate.
We may currently be in the playoffs but we've been shown up by some of the better teams who are proactive in the transfer market a number of times this season.
With the current ownership and management regime I just don't see us progressing whatsoever for the foreseeable future, much as it pains me to say it! |

Ok, its all about opinions but in my humble one I think others are right in saying that there's not much to choose between them. Personally I think Gerken is slightly the better shot stopper but I also believe Bart commands the penalty area marginally the better of the two.
I therefore believe whoever currently has the position should keep until form or injury dictates otherwise!
If it doesn't then MM is not a man of his word. |

How the hell can MM be delighted with the inconsistent squad he has at the moment ?
We need quality in all areas of the pitch and while other teams are out strengthening we will sit and stagnate in mid table if we're lucky.
To me it just beggars belief, there's appears to be no genuine desire to reach the promised land of the Premiership.

At the risk of getting lots of negative votes, for me the jury is still out on MM.
In my humble opinion as a season ticket holder, shareholder and supporter for 40+ years all he's really done for us in general is to make us more difficult to beat and therefore results have been better than before his time in charge.
I still yearn to watch good football and fear it will never happen under MM and his long ball/hoofball tactics!
I'm really not sure a contract extension at this time was the right thing, maybe when we know what's occurred at the end of this season.
But hey that's only my opinion, just one amongst thousands! |

Well, due to family/friends work circumstances I to am a lone season ticket holder and would be doing the Billy no mates trip to Wembley on my own !

A good mixture on here of optimism and pessimism, personally I've always found that an optimistic person is only ever disappointed where as a pessimist is only ever going to be pleased when something goes right.
I do feel we are still certainly in with a shout of top 2 or play offs but our season is in danger of falling apart . It's just fortunate that some of the others above have faltered as well.
Towns entire current campaign seems to have taken a downward cycle since the foray in the FA Cup and we need to turn it around pronto if we are going to be in mix come the end of the season.
Here's hoping for onwards and Upwards! |

The bizarre thing about a player out of form like Tommy Smith is he needs a break but dropping him will probably dent the confidence even more! Though he did really well when returning after being dropped earlier in the season so let's try it again.
I'm definitely in the 4-3-3 formation camp and would really like to see Sears working in the channels just behind Murphy and Wood, I think he could do a great job there assisting the midfield when necessary but being close enough to make a difference up front.
6th at the moment is a rather precarious spot to be in and a return to winning ways asap is needed to not slip out of the playoff spots. Leeds can either be really good or really bad this season according to a friend of mine so let's hope it's the latter tomorrow night! |

If Didsy available on Sunday he needs to be in and if Knockaert signs hopefully he can provide some quality .
