It's absolute desperation that we're having to name one of our strongest teams against a bunch of kids in a trophy this club shouldn't be competing in. At least the league cup is a meaningful trophy, could have provided some momentum if we put out some of our better players, but no, Papa Johns is now forced to be an important and (hopefully) positive reset.
I'm not one to jump to quick decisions and want to give managers time, but this is now beyond embarrassing with is it 4 wins in 24 for Cook. We're a number of games into the season to have 'gelled' (these are pro footballers who learnt systems from a very early age), the manager HAS to take responsibility for his horrendous record.
Cook just isn't up to it. The fans defending him are too precious and can't see the bigger picture. We will find the right man, but it isn't Paul Cook. GET HIM OUT NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. |

I'm absolutely gutted about this. It's not sustainable to just focus (and spend a lot of money) solely on a first team. Our brightest prospect that probably could have learned a lot being in and around the first team, gone for peanuts. It's even more frustrating that we left it so late in the day to return to him and get a deal done before he left, and that we were apparently so close. This is complete mis management and those that are saying they don't care are doing so because they don't want to admit the budgies have effectively taken a potentially very good and valuable player off us. Why didn't we offer him that little bit more? Cook is worrying me with his one dimensional way of dealing with our situation. |
