 | News Comment | Town Linked With Kilgallon at 15:15:52
As soon as I saw he'd been released I thought he would make a great signing. I Remember him being extremely solid for Sheff Utd, and hopefully being out of the first team picture for a while has increased his desire to succeed. Although would he displace Smith/Chambers? Probably just another rumour though... |

I for one really appreciate the work you do Phil, it just doesn't help that being an Ipswich fan is tough enough on the pitch, let alone off it as well. It's so disheartening to be linked with so many players that end up going to other clubs, hopefully there will be some good news soon! Apologies. |
 | News Comment | Howells Staying at Luton at 15:02:26
So if there was no interest, how did the story end up on here? Ipswich seem very good at keeping targets secret... |
 | News Comment | Howells Staying at Luton at 14:34:34
I'm extremely grateful for all the work that Phil does, but when stories seem to have very little substance, seems harsh getting people's hopes up, In a way it's encouraging the negativity people are moaning about. 100% behind Jewell, hopefully there will be a story soon that doesn't involve Ipswich being second best.. |
 | News Comment | Jewell: Championship Even Tougher Next Season at 13:49:56
What is he suppose to say? "This season is going to be a lot easier than the last". It's going to be even tougher with unsupportive fans berating the manager before a ball has been kicked. |
 | News Comment | Jewell Under No Pressure This Season at 11:25:54
Jas0009: You are a complete and utter fool! It is fans like you, that feel Ipswich have this god given right to be in the premiership and winning week in week out, that create the negativity which has held ITFC back in recent years. If you all you want to see is victory, go and watch a top 4 team! And the reason why people are more forgiving towards Jewell, in my opinion, is down to the fact that Ipswich have got a history of being loyal to managers, and with this being altered in recent years, people may be starting to realise that a manager needs time to build a half decent squad. Plus, Jewell has a decent record with regards to getting teams promoted. |
 | News Comment | Ellington Continues to Be Linked With Town at 13:46:19
Firm believer in certain players preforming above their ability for certain managers. With Jewell the only manager to get the best out of him, at the age of 29, he is surely worth a gamble, especially on a free! |
 | News Comment | Youngsters Would Benefit From Loans at 13:38:58
BlueBadger, the fact you want to bring back Sheepshanks means you don't deserve to have an opinion. And if we had been a bit more "tightfisted", then maybe we wouldn't have been in such a mess before Evans came along... COYB!! |
 | News Comment | Watford Match Postponed at 14:03:58
This is unacceptable. A decision an hour before KO, me and my family are on the A12 having travelled from Kent as we do for every home game, now having to turn around. So we can play when its heavy snowfall against Leicester, but can't play in less severe conditions on a daytime KO, a lot of people have a lot to answer for! |
 | News Comment | Keane Delighted for Players, Staff and Fans at 23:52:12
TheTruth, thats a little harsh as I'm a student in kent, and with trains into london being around a 2-3 hour delay due to the weather I would arrive late to the game, so didn't bother (Even though I had a ticket). Although as a season ticket holder I've been to every other home league and cup game this season so I will be supporting town at Portman Road, Stamford Bridge and The Emirates. What annoys me is that there is a separation between town fans, everyone is entitled to their opinion, I for one am on the fence neither for or against Keane's reign and the violence that occurred at Norwich and the comments emanating from you "loyal supporters" makes me think, well surely we would be better off if we all stood shoulder to shoulder as Ipswich Town Football Club not Keane, Clegg or Evans supporters. |
 | News Comment | Keane: Scotland Can Score 20 Goals at 14:32:03
So far he has started 8 games and scored 4 goals without being totally match fit... which if he plays 35 games this season then thats around 17/18 goals... I know it doesn't work like that but you expect him to get a couple of braces etc along the way... |
 | News Comment | Walters Stripped of Captaincy at 23:11:16
"FinnishBlue"... The reason you "can't understand" is because you obviously a little naive to the workings of a stable football club. Not that I know much better, but having characters around the club that feel, to quote Keane, "they are bigger than the club" can only have a bad effect on morale. "We get some money"...? Yes we get some money, but Keane has said all along Walters is only moving if we receive an offer deemed acceptable. And if you are a true fan, you would have been at Portman Road for the Spurs XI friendly and seen Pablo deserves to have been frozen out of the first team picture. And last point, "a club most players don't want to come into". Thats why Mark Kennedy, Andros Townsend and Connor Houridane have all signed, with it appearing Jason Scotland and Ross McCormack at least seeming interested... |
 | News Comment | Town 0-1 West Ham at 17:19:14
A lot of positives to be taken... Goal could have been prevented with a taller right back, and the need for a striker is staring us in the face. Hyam, Edwards and Priskin looked good IMO. |
