 | News Comment | Cajuste's Besiktas Move Still in Question at 19:14:24
A bit of appreciation for TWTD reporting wouldn’t go amiss from some people on these comments. We’re lucky to have this site, and if you find stories boring then simply don’t read them. It’s pretty obvious from the title what it’s about. |
 | News Comment | Season Tickets Up 10 Per Cent at 12:08:26
More matches though superblues9. Mine has gone from £20 a game this season to £18.20 a game next season. I'm OK with that given the amount everything seems to cost nowadays. Ultimately its supply and demand, if people don't want to renew at these prices then someone else will be waiting and happy to take the ticket. |
 | News Comment | McKenna Celebrates Three Years as Town Boss at 10:57:09
Read the first paragraph and misinterpreted it, now laughing at the prospect of Paul Cook managing Manchester United. As for McKenna, the guy is the real deal. What an incredible appointment and what a remarkable job he's done and continues to do. Whatever happens this season it certainly won't be for a lack of leadership. I hope all of us Town fans remember that and keep backing him come what may. |
 | News Comment | Hürzeler: Compliments For How They Defended at 13:21:01
Speaks well, that could be a KM interview. Seems like a bright young manager and Brighton are in good hands with him. He’s right of course, they dominated for large parts but that was a great point for us and an excellent performance. The sort of performance and result that can hopefully breed a lot of confidence. |
 | News Comment | Town Confirm Davis Signing at 15:25:32
Welcome Leif Davis. Good to have some more strength in the left back area, he seems like a player who likes to get forward and assist & score goals too, so hopefully a great signing who can play a big part in back to back promotions and getting us back into the premier league in a couple of years. We can dream! In McKenna we trust. |
 | News Comment | Kitman Pullen Leaves Club After Admitting FA Betting Charge at 15:18:18
I think its valid to question whether gambling firms should be allowed to market themselves in football. I don't think they should because it has the potential to be very dangerous, highly addictive (to some) and can ruin lives very quickly. Its sensible to prohibit individuals involved in the game at all levels from betting though to mitigate the risk of match fixing and insider trading. Given the value of these bets it looks like little more than a bit of a harmless hobby on the face of it and they're not bets of sufficient levels to bring integrity in to question, but its stupid nonetheless to jeopardise your career and flaunt the rules for what works out about £20 a year of profit. A lesson learned I'm sure. |
 | News Comment | Town Announce Season Ticket Prices at 10:57:59
Up 8%. Can't say I'm particularly surprised given the inflationary environment we're operating in, and with NMW up too. Not to mention the fact demand is outpacing supply, so it's perfectly understandable that we'll want to maximise the revenue at a time PR is packed to the rafters. Times are tough for people right now, and our fans have been amazing this season home and away, so it's a tricky one for the club I imagine, but ultimately feels like a necessity. |
 | News Comment | Town Make £18.17m Loss at 19:23:17
Ali Al-Hamadi fees wouldn’t have been applicable in the year ending June 2023 given he signed in Jan 2024. |
 | News Comment | European Clubs 'Monitoring' Hutchinson at 12:24:33
I would love to see him stay on, either on loan again or permanently as he seems to be improving with every week. Whether he stays beyond the end of this season or not his story is a positive one for the club. There’s lots of quality young players at big clubs and where they loan them out is a big decision which they don’t take lightly. It strengthens our case when we can evidence Omari’s development as the reason clubs and players should have ITFC near the top of their list of potential loan clubs. |
 | News Comment | Supporters Asked to Hold Minute's Applause For Lifelong Fan Liz at 17:20:26
Terribly sad. I didn’t know Liz, but anyone who works in such a profession has my utmost respect and appreciation. Of course, a fellow blue too. Taken too soon, condolences to her family & friends and may she rest peacefully. I’ll certainly be clapping on ‘58 on Saturday. |
 | News Comment | Mowbray to Step Away From Birmingham to Undergo Medical Treatment at 13:29:13
Some players become legends based on their achievements and contribution to ITFC which Mogga definitely qualifies for. What’s even more important is what a top bloke he is. Had a few interactions with him where he’s gone beyond what you would expect, a real down to earth and humble chap who carries himself with so much dignity. He’s overcome adversity in his private life before that you wouldn’t wish on anyone, I hope he can overcome whatever this is too. I know he has the full support of all Town fans. Stay strong Mogga, you’ve got this |
