West Ham Confirmed tonight on various fans websites (being a hammer) that Collins won't be offered a contract, there was a slight chance due to 8 home grown players rule, alas they registered only 24 players not 25 for Premier League. Brighton was another option, however the commute from Bishops Stortford wasn't an option Brighton were happy with. Collins was one of our best last year. Lost pace but understanding of game and support for so many youngsters was a credit to him. Like Walters yesterday, this signing could help the club for a number of years as well as improving Hurst's management experience. Another addition should be Richard Wright on the GK coaching. |

Im afraid to inform the true blues, the Hammers fan base for this region, ie 25 mile radius is in excess of 5000-7000. The vast majority of those (over 50%) have already got tickets, sitting with their families and friends whom are both Ipswich and West Ham fans. If Town followed us Irons and made the night a kids for £1 night the ground would be full, especially with blues fans. West Ham have now done 5 kids for a £1 days..hence 11th largest home attendance in whole of English/Scottish leagues...Ipswich miss so many crowd pleasing and money making ideas Im afraid.. |
