I would hope Ipswich Town would not follow West Ham with this. I believe loyalty should be rewarded, I will be 77 years old before next season starts. I first went to Portman Road in the 1950s in Division 3 South days, still a season ticket holder. Almost 70 years a supporter of our great club.

He was signed from Wrexham, I cant recall one before him.

Anybody but Neil Warnock. Surely true Ipswich Town fans are aware of the
reception he gets whenever he brings a team to Portman Road. His age also
makes him only a short term appointment. I have been going to Portman
Road since 1954, still a season ticket holder and cant believe the state we
are in at the moment. |

I saw this great player score many goals for Ipswich town. 2 against Manchester United at Portman Road will always stay in my memory. Harry Gregg was in goal for Manchester and was well beaten from distance and never got anywhere near them. What a partnership he had with Ray Crawford, without doubt 2 all time Ipswich greats. I met him many years later when he was laying cables in Diss, he would have talked football all day. Atop bloke RIP Ted. |
