Evans Expects to Be Fit For Millwall
at 18:57:33

4231

I expect Pigott up front.
Burns and Chaplin wide and Fraser in the middle.
Evans and Harper holding.
Toto and Edmondson centre backs.
KVY and Penny full backs.

I also think Toto will be Edmondson's partner over Woolfenden, though this might change over time.

Evans captain.

Gibbs Set For Norwich Subject to Compensation Agreement
at 14:26:29

From what I've read here and heard on Blue Monday etc. he wanted to stay his parents wanted to stay but he was only offered the absolute minimum academy contract. And wasn't made to feel wanted.

We might be a buying club at the moment but we seem to be letting talent we already have slip through our fingers. Other people are questioning some of the man management at the club...

Surprised academy and U23 staff didn't put up more of a fight to keep him.

Downes Linked With Bournemouth
at 11:50:03

I too would like to see Downes have a fresh start in a new team - Our New Team!

He is good enough for League 1 and the Championship, that is why Championship managers are looking at him and made offers before and look to be doing so again.

Surely we want to be a Championship or better team asap. Players like Downes are what we will need, some of those we are buying now will make the step up and some might not.

In a better squad with good management someone like Downes should flourish.
And the same is probably true of Gibbs.
Why are we not coverting these players rather than off-loading them in the 'fire-sale'. We needed a smaller squad and reduced wage bill, and to a large extent that has been achieved. Just a few more to go e.g. Jackson.

Blues Close in on Evans Signing
at 13:36:06

Two good signings, right age and successful at this level. Helpful to have some players that Cook knows as without an assistant manager a lot of pressure will be on Cook to run training etc. Evans will know what is expected.
Plenty of time for some bigger names to come in if appropriate but that might come next year, for now we need players capable of dealing with physicality of play and sub-standard grounds of League One.

One of the Strongest Squads?
at 18:22:45

If they're all fit then I think we do have got a good enough squad to get out of this league, BUT we're missing a couple of key pieces to the jigsaw. A real vocal and experienced leader in the middle of the park to keep driving everyone on. And another striker to share the workload and responsibility.
That and some decent coaching and we'd sorted.

Town Among Clubs Linked With St Johnstone Striker
at 18:11:32

I would say our priorities are to identify a manageable sized squad of players and get rid of most of the rest.
Hopefully those savings will fund some quality - I'd like to see an experienced leader to go in midfield or central defence and another striker.
Having watched some of the videos of Guy Melamed playing for St Johnstone he looks good.

And who knows perhaps Tottenham would loan us Parrott for another season!
