A Sad Sunday of Reflection today, I personally feel for the Owners whom after two promotions put everything the Manager could ask for this season at his disposal, and a 17th position should have been achievable, and safety - thus enabling a totally different situation facing the Owners than is now.
Assume nothing folks, in terms now of the future - Relegation is a real potential stick in the front wheel of the Owners and Club plans.
Make no mistake - we are back in the Mud Mix - let’s all hope that if / when we return, we make a better fist of the Huge Opportunity we had - but now gone !
Let’s hope lessons have been learned.
And as a final season entry - Idiots who are voicing pleasure at potentially lower gates next season - that is in no way welcome news for Club Revenue - but I guess that wouldn’t even cross such people’s minds.
HOPING we’re not ‘away’ as long this time - two decades doesn’t bare thinking about.

Well ! - let’s see how good McKenna is once again at Championship Level - he’d now be a Huge Gamble for any Premiership Club - as he’s successfully proved this season.
Stock devaluation season for sure, for him !

Another shambolic afternoon from both Manager and Team.
But an improvement !! - we only lost 3-0 instead of 4-0 - cue McKenna and his ‘positives’ !!

…… Carberry you’re right - McKenna’s spiel is as monotone as his tactics and thus results this season - same week, after week, after week, expecting a different outcome.
People will reflect next season on such a Huge Opportunity missed in not ‘staying up’ ….. all in all it was an abysmal attempt, and season, with unwanted Club Records set - for every wrong reason.
Back to the GRIND and MOANING of visiting teams shutting up shop for a point - people have such short memories - when it suits !!

Relegation means many changes for many reasons - all this talk about ‘bouncing back’ is essentially ‘pie in the sky’ only, and just that.
Look how many teams have struggled to even stabilise in the Championship, least of all bounce straight back as some are predicting. It will be TOUGH !!
A MUCH tougher ask, expectancy. and pressure on McKenna and Ashton next season, than this season should have been.
Only Idiots, and there were more than a few, predicted at least a Top 6 finish this season - that was NEVER going to happen, or indeed to be even expected - but with the ‘so called’ Best Young Manager, and two previous and consecutive promotions behind him, 17th should reasonably have been a definite.
The Club is now NOT in an ideal position, in fact far from it in many ways.
The Town itself will feel it too !!
