 | Forum Reply | Weirdly sadder about Delap now than I expected. at 07:32 5 Jun 2025
Feels like he’s been here on loan with it being one season. Bonus is we’ve made some profit on him with him having a very good six months with us. Last few months I don’t think he was playing for the team, but himself. So many opportunities went begging when a pass would’ve been the better option from him. Glad he’s gone early on in the window and hopefully we can players in now to start preparing for what is going to be a difficult season ahead |

I always thought he played well in the few games that we saw of him. Can’t blame him for wanting out if he’s not going to feature much again. |

Wonderful player and always gave everything. Feel more disappointed with Mass going than Delap. Delap seems like a player who’s been on loan for the season and he’s gone, and with Mass he was part of that team that has superb team spirit. All the best Mass. |

Noticeable how Ashton hasn’t been as vocal this season compared to when everything was going so well in L1 and Championship. Recruitment was poor, the Muric transfer and how we went about it was unbelievable, and although injuries have played a part we’ve looked doomed for months now. |

Personally I’d like to see him stay, but I wouldn’t mind if he left. It’s been a disaster of a calendar year, the team getting worse game on game. |

To be honest at the beginning of the season I believed we might just finish 16/17th but that idea soon disappeared. This calendar year has been nothing short of embarrassing, dreadful home record and a manager who seems to lack any Plan B. The biggest disappointment has been the recruitment though, injuries haven’t helped but those that have played have been miles off the standard required. I want McKenna to stay but he’s had a shocker of a year and the team needs a strong start next season. |

Agree totally with this. He’s changed agents whose first job is to turn his head and look elsewhere. As said, he shouldn’t be near the first team now, sell him and forget. Loyalty doesn’t exist anymore in football, especially here when there’s in fighting amongst most players and PL, and with Evans listening to the players but doing nothing there’s more than just Flynn wanting out. Luke is considering a transfer request this week, and Norwood after last seasons bust up with PL wants away, Dundee Utd his preferred choice. Add into the mix Kayden also wanting championship football this season, we truly are screwed. Only hope is Evans sees the wood for the trees and sends PL on his way sooner rather than later. Cowley brothers have already been approached, but nothing solid in Evans terminating Lambert’s contract yet, then the speed in which he operates it’s no surprise. |
