McCarthy was never going there to accept a loss. Any one of the players in MM's 18 are players he believes are capable of playing at any given time otherwise they wouldn't be in his match day squad, fa cup or not. 1-1 is a hell of a result at st marys against a Southampton side pushing for a top 6 spot, not to mention against a Southampton team which was full strength and without doubt playing to win the tie on the day and not have to make a trip up to east anglia on Wednesday night between two tough premier league games. The boys should be proud and like McCarthy said, they should take it as a positive and realise they are capable of getting results against teams in the top half of the highest league in English football!! Was never gonna be permanent. He was just here as cover until January so mick could do some proper business. Feel for the guy because he's now gotta go back to Leeds after saying how much he wanted to leave them, especially with that chairman of they're's. Can see mick getting a new striker in on loan with a view to buying him if we get promoted. Also I like the look of that young lad for Peterborough called Washington I think his name is. Would be a brilliant purchase in my opinion |

Still can't are MM playing our strongest available side, especially if we're still in the top two come January. What's the point in risking injuries to some of our essential players in a cup we have no intention of winning? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see town go all the way but if I had a choice between a better chance of getting promoted or a lengthy cup run, I know which one I'd pick.

If Evans was to sell his shares then the new buyer would be purchasing his shares plus the debt.
But in the event if Evans was to just up and leave and nobody replaced/bought his shares then yes, he could take the issue to court in which we'd have to set up some sort of agreement to pay him the money back or in the worst circumstances if we were unable to pay, we'd most probably enter liquidation |

The way I see it, is that I don't sing that particular song, not for the racial side of things or homosexuality, but because if someone made up a song about sir bobby robson, I'm sure quite a few fans would get angry about it!! But saying that, we should be allowed to sing, shout and swear if we like because a lot of you might have stressful jobs, or a bitch of a wife etc... Its the only place you can go to let off steam or shout without lookin a tit.. If we were like millwall fans I could understand your discretion, but we're not.. Its purely abit of banter between clubs.. For example "earnshaws an alien" we find it funny, but he may not because we're takin the piss out of his looks, shall we stop singing that aswell?? We're entitled to freedom of speech, but racism and homophobic comments aren't acceptable.. But anything other than that, then get behind our football club and be the twelth man again like 99/00 season.. You didn't see delia smith telling her fans to shut up, she was in the middle of the pitch tryin to rally them all together and get them singing.. Still hate the scum!! |
