I've said before, my biggest worry is Mckenna needs to be more adaptive! Our promotion heroes have left, and got in new blood..... to play the same system for 3 years now!!!
It's obviously a good system, hey got us 2 promotions but hate to say it as love Mckenna but a certain Russell Martin did not adapt and look at him.
Opposing teams know how to set up against us as they know Mckenna always does the same so will be nice if he changes it when needs to and really surprise the opposition.
After all said and done i support the town and will keep faith in Ashton/Mckenna and the boys and hope we get back to the prem this season |

Taking the players out of the equation, Mckenna needs to have more of a plan B. Years now of 4-2-3-1 and so teams now know how to setup against us. When he makes subs it's just like 4 like and keeps the same formation.
The formation was good when a surprise but if a team counters it he needs to be able to change things |

Sorry if i have missed it, but the new bid from Birmingham is a permanent deal, so Ajax will prefer that over a loan. Of course the player has to agree and can turn down and then Ajax will have to think about the loan option again, but yes i believe Birmingham going for a permanent deal will make things interesting.
How much does Akpom want to be here? |

Thinking still need some cover for Defensive Midfield, Think Morsy is going to be getting a lot of yellow cards and his role is so vital but will be so much harder in the prem. I believe it is right for him not to come here but... It is a position no one talks about but one we need and thats CM or more specifically DMC. Morsy & Luongo are not getting any younger, and look at the yellow cards Morsy got in championship!! With the extra pace and intensity of the prem defensive midfield is even more important and think we need a younger player in there too |

We are at a stage now where there are so many vacancies at the moment, so you do need to get in quickly. If you pick out a name and then don't act, then other clubs will think "oooh Who is this bloke Ipswich are interested in? Maybe we should enquire".
As others have said, when someone has been interviewed, as long as they have a good track record, enthusiasm and a real interest in the team they are going to manage, and the owner and fans are interested, get them!!
BTW it is another week until Rotherham play Shrewsbury so that is waiting a week until interviewing him. If Ross is the man, get him now, if there is doubt then i suppose wait for Hurst, but your own fault if you waited and did not like what you heard from Hurst and then Ross gets snapped up |

Well what we have here is one team with lots of injuries and a manager who has not much care for the FA Cup (us) against a team that has hopes of the play offs and so does not to have a cup run (Sheff Utd). I can see it being 0-0 until the last minute when one of the teams scores an own goal to be knocked out of the cup!! ;-) |

Take away the injuries in defence, if you look at the stats, with the almost fully fit attack we have, we should be attacking that goal more.I am sure when attackers get signed up for us they start asking "why can't i do my job". What i think we need which will help us out is creativity in midfield and that includes centre and wide. Pace kills in this division and i know that is where we are lacking, but we need to have traditional wingers playing that can take on full backs and at least one creative centre midfielder that can find that pass through the eye of a needle to the forwards. People have moaned about defence & attack being problems but i honestly think it is the lack of a creative attacking midfielder that has caused us to struggle |

So with not being able to get a CB do you think we will be playing 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 until at least one of our CB's come back from injury. I think we will need our forwards to keep outscoring the opposition until we are settled? No good CB free agents then? (Considering we have missed the transfer deadline) |
