Loads of great Harrison commentaries to choose from but I've gone for this one from November 1976 and Ipswich’s 7-0 demolition of West Bromwich Albion (sorry Baggies fans but your time will come). Some great goals in the drizzly autumnal rain by the likes of Kevin Beattie, Trevor Whymark and, especially, Paul Mariner who was making his home debut. All three gentleman, now sadly no longer with us. [ ( https://brianmooresavedoursundays.wordpress.com)
I personally think the quality of players we have bought into this club has been shocking over the past 12 months. Hence the reason we were relegated back into the Championship.
Shocked at this move, but 3 year contract must be the key. McK and Ashton need to get a squad together that will click again, can see many more faces coming in. Cannot see us making top 2 more likely play offs unless we can get the right players through the door. Going to be a long 2 months
Reckon the club made a killing on the number of pints drank last night, would be interested to hear how much the club make on an evening like this. Considering the build up of the arena, stadium organisation, stewards and not forgetting the number of boxers to be paid
His massive following in Indonesia will sell many shirts, give the lad a further contract and get him out on loan again. Could be a golden nugget…….
Well done Carl Skuse, always follow the results but ITFC is my team Also at Portman Road when Upson scored that last minute winner in the FA Youth Cup final.
McKenna goes on about the physicality of the Manchester defenders and front men, why is it that he goes out and purchases lightweight players in Clarke and Philogene. You have to take a serious look at the coaches who organise the defending from dead ball situations, happening far too often and we will pay for this. Does not look as if the players are playing for one another as in the previous 2 seasons, lost the team spirit !!!!!
Just spoken to a Villa mate, if it was the same Philogene that played for Hull yes, but he has not played many minutes for Villa and reckon he would need a full pre season under McK to get the best out of him. We need someone who is fit and ready for a full 90 minutes, not many of them available.
Have to agree on the Morsy point, we had lost the game and he should have been taken off. Hutchinson, Chaplin, Szmodics did not offer anything today and thought none of these competed for the ball, as for Muric just look at the third goal again. Saying this we were up against a very big and mobile Newcastle team who were on the ball today and helped by that early goal
McK never forgets anyone, keeping an eye on Ipswich born darter Ryan Meikle sums the man up. We are so lucky to have Kieran as a manager and think out of all the teams in the Premiership his position is safe, wherever we finish.
