Does Kieran know or coach any formation other than 4 2 3 1. One of our back four…you know who…is too often up the field when we concede. Midfield has been woeful. The skipper will never play again in the Premiership. The two loans flattered to deceive. Ok injuries didn’t help but we only got Cajuste after Brentford weren’t willing to accept his fitness level. Yes he had the skill but would he cover the grass. The 3 10s and one striker has been a shuffling of the pack so many times. Ok injuries didn’t help of course. But McKenna refused to test 2 up front from the start or indeed in the last 20 mins when we are down or to experiment for a few games with 3 centre backs 2midfield 2 wing backs and 2 up front. McKenna is a one trick pony.
Their shoving and pushing at corners was excessive deliberate and surely deserved some better reaction from the ref. Our guys were sporting and didn’t react. At least we played with the right spirit.
I rely on Phil Ham…so close to the club and he rarely issues info to us that turns out to be false. This I think is the most important negotiation by the club this summer that will give us the best chance of staying up. The players will take as much a sigh of relief as the supporters and if it means Kieran has a bigger war chest even better.
ITFC have never had a manager who in such a short time has fused a close relationship with our CEO and is admired and respected by his players. He has also ignited a new young generation of supporters and is filling our stadium. What KMcK has done in 2 years is second to none. We love him and I’m sure he loves us.
As long as Kieron is at Portman Road I am confident for our future. His passion and understanding of the game is top class. I was at the UEFA Cup Final and my twin bruv was at the FA cup final. We treated ourselves to the Sir Bobby suite for our 73rd birthday at the Watford game and like many we thought it was two points lost rather than one won. Surely Broadys shot was perfect and someone moved the post. Anyway many congrats to everyone at the club and the huge fan base. Nice to see Suffolk is back on the map.
Best picture on SKY tonight was an empty stadium apart from 2500 amazing loud supporters. Too old now to get to many games but as a supporter for over 60 years I draw comfort from the memory of being there in the Robson years to see us win 4-0 at Highfield Road. And now we have a new Robson. What an outstanding manager we have.
Coolhand…agree with you…it’s a chance for massive success. Are we ready? Will wages have to double…treble..will be an another Burnley. Will we lose KMcK if we stay in the Champoinship. As a supporter for over 60 years I think it will be a season too early for us. If you’re asked to develop at a pace your staff and players aren’t capable of dealing with then just take a breath and re group. Guess I won’t get many supporters agreeing with me.
Last 2 games. Leicester no goals no points. Leeds no goals 1 point. Town I goal 2 posts and 2 points.Utterly crazy. Burns and Hirst available for the last 3 match week will be a big boost. And come on Town supporters just look at where we are.in fact at the Watford game some supporters said to me to jump up now to the promised land could be a curse. Lots of recruitment will be necessary and those retained will probably double their wages. Is it too risky? I doubt the club imagined we would be here with 3 games to go.
Too many players running on empty. Play like that against Boro I fear we will lose that one. Moores header was a sitter. If he had headed down and got a bounce the goalie would have had no chance. Sat right behind Broadies shot. Everyone in Churchman’s stood up …looked a certain goal.
Yorkieblue…had the same bad memory as you. Seem to recall two days after that 1-0 defeat we travelled to Cologne to witness Butch take us to the UEFA cup final. But just like this season we tired and with injuries affecting us we lost 5 of the last 7 and handed the title to Villa.
Let’s give the Scum credit for their game plan in the second half. Gunn had almost nothing to do. Our front four to a man were ineffective for the whole game and I lost count of the number of times I shouted at the Blues for playing so slowly.
So pleased with Jackson’s performance - Burns hamstring might mean we might see him again this season. If we can’t afford Hutch promotion may well be too soon. Axel whenever fit is ahead of Clarke. Good to see Mass back to his best and bet he’s pleased now for the international break.
Kieran’s analysis of the game tonight expressed exactly what was in his mind as he saw the game. He is so astute and manages to tell us as fans what was going wrong and what needed to be improved. His decisions tonight on the hour may not have worked. I think this was the first time he brought on 4 subs at the hour mark. His decision worked big time. He deserves the Man of the Match award.
