I'm all for getting more bums on seats at Portman Road however, I feel it may be difficult for the club to now sell match day tickets at a cheaper price due to the season ticket renewals already being underway.
Maybe the club could do some kind of incentive so that if a person comes to say 3 or 4 home games then their 4th or 5th home game is sold to them at a reduced price? Not sure exactly how it would work, whether they would need to keep their ticket stub or whether it would be easier for the details of games attended to be recorded by the ticket office etc but at least those fans who come to a few games a season would feel that the overall price of tickets for the 4 or 5 games has been reduced.
I also agree with the idea of getting school kids involved, give cheap tickets to local schools and maybe they can have a five aside game on the pitch at half time. |

Keaneish, I never thought about Liverpool's song, how slow is that?!
Apparantly, the suggestion of 'My Way' was not met with support by the Supporters Club and others within the club. They said the pace of the music is not upbeat enough to have the desired effect on the players and supporters alike....
Maybe it shouldn't be played just before the players come out but I definitely think it should have a position in the playlist at some point before kick off at every home game. |

I wish we had an "Ipswich song" to get the crowd singing along. I don't care much for "singing the blues" but did suggest "My Way" to the club as it was one of Sir Bobby Robson's favourites. Club said the song is too slow so wouldn't fit into their plans. Can understand that but everyone knows the words and we could all belt it out for sure!
Anyway, the samba band would be good, could get the cheerleaders back or play a 10-15 mins compilation of great songs before kick off. |
